Why is it that a first year appr...entice can plainly see this but the decision and policy makers on six figure incomes cant! (or wont ) The problems of the NBN are far greater than just not being able to deliver the promised download speeds to homes the entire business model from introduction to installation is flawed. The article made the point that the NBN risked becoming the greatest white elephant in Australian history WRONG WRONG the NBN IS the greatest white elephant in Australian history! The point was also made that the new 5G wireless technology coming was unlikely to impact greatly on the NBN because 5G will be expensive, take a long time to roll out, and will not cater for large download requirements. Correct it might take a while but it sure as hell is going to waltz right in and belt the NBN right out over the fence! Do they think technology is not going to just keep on racing away at break neck speeds as it has done for the last 25 years! Market forces will set the landscape as they have always done. Bottom line - we have a broadband network that is already obsolete, and unlikely to ever be able to generate the revenue it needs to survive!
