The approvals relate to the retention and permanent use of the temporary race day stalls and infield carpark and follows Keylan’s earlier work in securing the approval of the replacement car park required to offset the loss of on-site parking resulting from the CBD and South East Light Rail project. This approval, along with the recently approved Meadowbank Schools Project, will help bring to life the Greater Sydney Commission’s vision for the Meadowbank Education and Employment Precinct. The Hub will provide an active learning environment co-...locating disciplines under building, construction, engineering and manufacturing that are united by a focus on new digital technologies. The development forms part of the NSW Government’s investment to transform the TAFE Meadowbank into a technology-focused campus. The $30+ million development will provide approximately 120 construction jobs and 125 full time jobs once completed. 15.01.2022 The Minister for Planning and Public Spaces has approved the State Significant Development Application for three residential towers at 242-244 Beecroft Road, Epping. The concept approval has a Capital Investment Value of over $163 million and will see the current site which has been used for the construction and operation of Sydney Metro Northwest transformed into a landmark new development adjacent to the Epping town centre.... 14.01.2022 It’s been a busy start to 2021 with Keylan having secured a number of approvals in recent weeks! The approvals cover a wide and diverse range of development including: creative advertising murals in the Sydney CBD; adaptive reuse of the heritage-listed Blayney Station in regional NSW; extended operating hours for the popular CBD restaurant, Babylon Rooftop;... signage for the State-significant North Shore Health Hub; and modifications to a State significant approval for a major industrial estate in the Western Sydney Employment Area It has been a pleasure to secure these approvals for our clients. We have also recently lodged a number of major applications and look forward to many more approvals as 2021 progresses!



13.01.2022 Keylan achieved a number of significant milestones in the lead up to the end of financial year. We secured the approval of 2 State significant developments for the North Shore Health Hub at St Leonards, State significant approval of a new restaurant and micro-brewery (The Squire’s Landing) at the Overseas Passenger Terminal, and a Biodiversity Conservation Act waiver for the Sydney Opera House. We also lodged a number of major applications. These include a 31-lot residential ...subdivision and 201 dwelling seniors living development at Jordan Springs in the Penrith LGA. We also prepared a SEE in support of a DA to Northern Beaches Council for 78 seniors living apartments in Frenchs Forest, close to the new Northern Beaches Hospital. In addition, we prepared 2 major DAs for Stages 2 and 3 of the Victoria Road Site, Melrose Park. These include a 234 dwelling residential development and a 157 dwelling residential development in the Parramatta LGA. The approved developments include a 31 lot residential subdivision, the construction of 51 seniors living villas and a concept plan for 150 independent living units. The development sites have excellent access to transport services, health facilities and other essential ...services in the Jordan Springs Town Centre. 12.01.2022 Construction has officially commenced on Dexus’ North Shore Health Hub in St Leonards, with the ground breaking on 20 February 2019 attended by the Minister for Planning, The Hon Anthony Roberts. The North Shore Health Hub is a world-class medical facility that includes a range of hospital services, cancer care, radiology and imaging, pathology, medical suites and allied health. The development is a significant expansion of the St Leonards Health and Education Precinct, consi...stent with key metropolitan planning objectives in the Greater Sydney Region Plan and North District Plan. Keylan has worked closely with Dexus, Willoughby City Council and the Department of Planning and Environment in preparing a planning proposal to enable the development of a hospital on the site, as well as preparing and securing approval for three separate State significant Environmental Impact Statements. We have also recently prepared a second planning proposal for the expansion of health related uses on the remainder of the site, which was lodged with Willoughby City Council in December 2018. 09.01.2022 Keylan provides independent assessment for $25 million mixed use development approved in Orange CBD Keylan Consulting was engaged by Orange City Council to undertake the assessment of a $25 million mixed use development within the heart of the Orange CBD. The four-storey development comprises 98 hotel/motel accommodation rooms, a pub and bistro, retail and 189 parking spaces. The assessment entailed a range of issues including a Clause 4.6 variation to height, traffic and ...heritage and concluded that the DA should be approved, subject to conditions, noting its economic benefits to the region and high-quality design. 07.01.2022 Keylan has recently successfully secured the approval for 2 advertising murals for Apparition Media in the City of Sydney LGA, one on appeal in the Land and Environment Court. These hand painted murals are a unique form of outdoor advertising in the city that reads as street art, providing visual interest and street activation. We also had the great opportunity to lodge 2 major State significant applications. These include an EIS on behalf of St George Community Housing for a...n 18-storey social and affordable housing development in Redfern valued at more than $49 million. The proposal comprises 160 social and affordable apartments, ground floor common facilities, and commercial and retail space. We have also lodged another EIS for the Sydney Opera House valued at more than $115 million. The proposal comprises architectural changes to the Concert Hall and re-purposing of the north-western corner to provide a Creative Learning Centre. We have been working collaboratively with the Sydney Opera House Trust and other key consultants for over 2 years to deliver the Building Renewal Program, which will sustain the World Class standing of the venue to meet the needs of future generations.
