25.01.2022 Rest in Peace Tanker 134

25.01.2022 All aircraft back to base today. Washed, fuelled and ready to go again on either fire or ag duties. Bomber 412 (FNV) and 413 (NCJ) will be back on fire standby tmw at Kingaroy. We wish eveyone all the best for an awesome and wet New Year. We'd much rather be looking after green crops than fighting fires. Thankyou to all our clients for supporting us this year and a big thankyou fron Vanessa and I to our amazing staff who always rise to whatever challenges and opportunities come our way.

24.01.2022 Spreading, spraying, seeding or baiting; whatever you need, wherever you are we're ready to go. Fingers crossed for some decent rain this weekend.

23.01.2022 Merry Christmas from Keyland Air Sevices to all our clients, suppliers, friends and family. Over the last couple of months we have been, and continue to, support QFES with the somewhat extended fire season by providing aircraft and crew to the Kingaroy air base. In this time we have provided waterbombing support to many fires and worked with some fantastic ground and aircrew from QFES and other contracting companies. As always we have been supporting our valuable ag clients who have needed work done at the same time. We wish everyone the best for a safe and enjoyable time celebrating with family and friends and hope for a wet New Year.

20.01.2022 There might not be much cotton around but what there is looks good as its nearing picking.

19.01.2022 Keyland Air Services COVID 19 temporary changes As part of the agricultural industry, aerial application is an essential service and we remain open for business to service all our clients. We have made some temporary changes however to protect our staff and clients. We are minimising, as much as we can, our staff attendance at our Dalby office. There maybe times when the office is unattended during working hours. ... We ask that if you need to come in to organise a job or drop off some chemical; you ring ahead on our Operations Number 0428 355502 to ensure a staff member can be there to meet you. Our preference is for our clients to email spray requests and maps if at all possible. If you are feeling unwell we ask that you do not come in but rather call us and we will endeavour to organise your job over the phone. We have arrangements with chemical suppliers to ensure they can continue to deliver all products we require. We are doing everything we can to continue offering our quality application services to our clients and minimise any impact to our services. The benefits of choosing Keyland include: - Using a strong local company who employs local staff - Three large capacity turbine aircraft we can get your job done in a timely manner and with the water rate you request, using the latest GPS and low drift nozzles. - Member of the Aerial Application Association of Australia (AAAA). - Spraysafe accredited and AIMS program participants meaning we have strong safety and quality based procedures and standards. - Bases in Dalby and Chinchilla and good mobile loading equipment to operate from farm airstrips. - Keyland is an accredited Veteran Owned Business.

16.01.2022 **URGENT** We have been contacted by spray applicators asking how they can identify where sensitive crops such as cotton are located. They want to ensure they a...re meeting best practice and avoiding damage to crops. Unfortunately many growers have not entered their crops on to SataCrop so it is very difficult for applicators to know where crops are and conduct safe applications. Given the extremely wet conditions, spray applications are critical at this time. PLEASE add your cotton and other crops to SataCrop ASAP to assist applicators. If you require any assistance with entering crops, please contact the Cotton Australia regional manager. See more

15.01.2022 We've been supporting the QLD bushfire effort with Bombers 412 and 413 for the last few days. Thanks to the air attack pilots ans supervisors who give us the gu...idance to get the drops where they will have the best effect. Also a big thanks to all the support guys who allow us to get out quickly and support the guys on the ground and landholders. Stay safe everyone we've got a while to go I suspect. See more

10.01.2022 Congratulations Hugh. After gaining his turbine endorsement last week in a 2 seat air tractor, Hugh did his Turbo Thrush familiarisation flight. Off to a great start. Thanks to Dave Rix for all his good instruction.

08.01.2022 It's nice to see some good looking winter crops around but the mice are also liking the look of them with increased numbers starting to cause damage to crops. We have fitted our GPS linked meterate which allows us to very accurately measure the aircraft bait output to ensure we are getting the correct rate over all your crops. This allows us to achieve consistently superior baiting and pasture seeding applications. If mice are causing you damage give us a call and we'll be straight out.

07.01.2022 First load after a few days of some wonderful rain. It's nice and wet around the traps. With fixed bases running off bitumen strips at Dalby, Chinchilla and Kupunn, we have the area covered. Throw in our mighty 710 Thrush with its long legs and our other large capacity turbine aircraft and we can get your job done quickly and efficiently without needing to wait days or a week for dirt strips to dry out.

07.01.2022 Welcome to the team Hugh King!! Hugh is a newly qualified ag pilot and is starting his supervision period with us. You might see him working around the traps in a small Pawnee we have hired to get him started. We look forward to Hugh getting more experience to become a safe and efficient turbine ag pilot with us for many years to come. We are continuing to invest in our business and industry. Our industry needs more good ag pilots in the future.

06.01.2022 We have recently added a large fuel tanker to our fleet. All DG approved and ready to support our aircraft on fire and ag work.
