21.01.2022 Are you a Woman of Colour who wants to speak with confidence and conviction in meetings, presentations and in front of an audience and most importantly feel that people see you for you and not by gender, cultural heritage and colour? There are FOUR fully sponsored Woman of Colour Speakership spots. I encourage you to express your interest and amplify your voice as a WoC you have nothing to lose. Here's how. Thanks to Gemma Saunders GAICD (She/Her) from Workplace Edit, F...iona Jefferies from Diva Works, Amanda Vanelderen from Wordworks and Andrew Griffioen from IFAA, for their allyship, we have FOUR speakership spots available. To be considered, you must either be experiencing financial hardship and/or have a strong case as to why you would like to be sponsored. It could be, for e.g. you've just started a social enterprise and need support or you're thinking of starting a business that would enable greater diversity and inclusion. Please don't overthink this and just apply. We need your voice at the table. Express your interest for sponsorship here >> https://lnkd.in/gzch_gQ For more info on the Speakership program for WoC, check this out >> https://lnkd.in/ghhNzFR #WomenOfColour #Speakership #PublicSpeaking

20.01.2022 Wow. Just wow. No words needed.

17.01.2022 We MUST think about what we’re actually celebrating today. We MUST critically examine our patriotism, are we in fact one and free?. This date is a bloody day in our nations history. A day where our First Nations People were obliterated and deemed as insignificant and irrelevant to Australia future as a ‘ripe’ country. It is important to not remain native to these facts, just because it may be a bit uncomfortable or disconcerting to acknowledge. We all play a part in the con...tinued, systematic oppression of our Indigenous people. Let us begin the process of decolonising the mind and unlearning these historical fictions around ‘Australia Day’. We are not, one and free. Sovereignty was never ceded.
