14.01.2022 Those of you interested in the new Hazard Perception Test because you have recently passed your test and will need to do this before you can move onto your /green Ps, or those who will be doing the test in the near future to to get your Red Ps, have a look at this. The graphics have been improved a great deal.

11.01.2022 Example of the new version of the Hazard Perception Test. Available on Dept Transport website from about 1pm on Monday 29th March. From 29/3/21 to 30/6/21- Learners must complete both the Hazard Perception Test online as well as the Practical Driving Test BEFORE you can buy your P Plate Driver's Licence. From July 1st 2021- Hazard Perception Test must be completed as well as all other existing requirements such as 100 hours in your logbook, BEFORE you can do the Practical D...riving Test. WHAT IS IT? (If it is the same as the old test) A random selection from a multiple number of different pieces of dash cam footage where a hazard appears unexpectedly. You must identify and click on the Hazard as quickly as you can. Your reaction time is recorded and averaged out to see how quickly you can react. If it is quick enough, you pass. Note: in the old test, sometimes there were no hazards in the piece of footage. You must of held your Learner's Licence for a minimum of 6 months before you can attempt it. If you fail it, it can be redone once every 24 hours. See more
