25.01.2022 TWILIGHT TENNIS RETURNS Entries are open for Term 1, 2021 Twilight Tennis For all our adults, parents and followers - Twilight is a social Wednesday night comp that runs for 8ish weeks pre Xmas (4 men/4 lady format) and again post Xmas (2 men & 2 lady format). There’s plenty of grades to chose from and the vibe is very casual.... If you have any queries, speak with Eliza Long (Twilight Coordinator).

21.01.2022 The Victorian Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) Series will be hitting the famous Shepp Lawn courts this Friday at 9am and again on Sunday at 10am. The UTR is a rating system that allows skill level based on competition, is used by professionals and encourages fair play. UTR rates every tennis player - regardless of age, gender or nationality. Players will go head to head in a round robin competition using the Fast4 scoring format of first to four games, play lets, no ad scoring... and tiebreaker at 3 games all. 20.01.2022 TRAVEL VOUCHER GRANT (18y+) Opens Friday 11th December, 10am The vouchers will be rolled out in two stages, with 40,000 vouchers valued at $200 each redeemable for travel between Saturday, 12 December and Friday, 22 January.... Additional lots of 40,000 vouchers will become available on 20 January for travel between 27 January and 1 April and on 30 March for travel between 6 April and 31 May. The release of the second stage of vouchers will include Tennis Victoria’s Country Week (15-19 February 2021) and tournaments held across the Labour Day and Easter long weekends.

19.01.2022 TWILIGHT (Adult, Pre Christmas, Social) Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club It’s that time of year where the wider Greater Shepp community (businesses, families and individuals) dust off their racquets and enter the Clubs Twilight competition.... Built on fun and social connection, matches are held on Wednesday evenings commencing from 5.30pm. Teams consist of four men or four ladies and each player plays two sets of doubles. There are separate draws for men and women in this social event, with grades from A to E. Commencing on the 21st October and running for nine weeks in line with DHHS Guidelines The Club needs your support to bounce back better from COVID Enter as an individual or enter a team of four, there will be a spot for everyone. So, we have applied for funding to host a 8-week program for up to 72 young people of Greater Shepparton. We want to create a space where they are welcomed, they feel a sense of belonging, they have a positive active program they can socialise with friends and connect to community.... We are throwing it open to everyone to see what additional support is out there. Ideally, we are seeking dinner or funding for dinner for up to 72 young people for 8 Tuesday evenings. 16.01.2022 What’s the process when it’s raining? As tennis coaches, we live on the radar. Constantly checking it and trying to forecast where it will leave scheduled classes. A few years back we decided to communicate to everyone 30-60mins out because we learnt the hard way (cancelled 20 odd classes for that afternoon and then the came out and dried up the courts). We need to keep in mind that locally, some venues drain much better an faster than others too. So, if you drive passed... courts and think they’re puddled it doesn’t necessarily mean others are. So, please keep an eye on this page and keep your mobiles nearby. We will send an SMS 30-60mins out from yours/your child’s class (more if we know you are travelling into town from a fair distance) letting you know IF it is called a wash out.
