24.01.2022 Our favourite thing to do lately is get outside and look at animals. I love this age and how much he is learning! This week we just went for a short drive to the historic rivermill . There are deers, alpacas, chickens & horses. You can feed the alpacas for $2, sit at the cafe or by the river and play on the playground. Its days like these that are so rewarding and I absolutely love being his mumma

22.01.2022 Picnic dates with your little loves can require some effort and planning but it is so worth it dont you think? I often find our picnics are cut short due to tiny intruders but Ive recently learnt you can spray some diluted peppermint oil on the grass under the mat and around your picnic to keep the little guys at bay Have you tried this before? Or do you have any other tips and tricks?
21.01.2022 Becoming a mother has given me so much more purpose but also made me realise how valuable time is. (it just seems to slip through my fingers!) Ive always dreamt of starting my own clothing line ever since I was young enough to shop at valley girl I remember looking at a poster of a girl modelling their clothes and thinking I want to do that one day! Design, sell and model my own clothes! Quite embarrassing really but that little dream grew and developed as I studied fash...ion design and grew my love for vintage inspired fashion and pattern design. Since having Sam Ive just realised I can start small and not push myself but make little steps each day to get me closer to my dream Fast forward a little to now and Ive got samples getting made, Im doing a social media branding/marketing course and practising my pattern design skills ready to launch Spring/summer this year My point in all this is this: weve all got dreams... especially if youre a creative like me! Its okay to feel like theyve been lost for a little while, especially once you become a mother! But keep them alive in your heart, because the opportunity will arise and you will know what the next steps for you will be And if youve made it this far, Im impressed! What are your dreams? 20.01.2022 Since becoming a mumma, I think one of the biggest adjustments for me was the lack of time for myself. To be honest, Im still figuring it out! It can be so easy to get overwhelmed by the pressures of life and motherhood that you end up getting to boiling point and blowing up with something like I cant do this anymore! or I feel so overwhelmed that I just want to go to bed! Unfortunately, this probably happens more than Id like #reallifemotherhood But Id like to th...ink that with each day my capacity gets a little greater, my patience a little longer and my love a little deeper. One thing though that Ive realised is that in order for me to grow through my circumstances, I need to take time out just to be. To do something that clears my mind and gives me room to refocus on whats really IMPORTANT and not what seems URGENT all the time. Usually its sitting at a cafe with my journal or when we lived near beach - beach walks! 14.01.2022 One of my favourite spots to drive to when we lived closer to the beach. I do love mountain life but I also miss the ocean I think the last time I went was when I was pregnant so Im looking forward to taking Sammy with me next time
11.01.2022 One of my hopes for this page is that I will be able to try and share lots of baby & kid friendly, healthy and time efficient recipes! Its something I find value in and I hope you do too. Swipe for todays spiced pumpkin and bean muffins. Cannellini beans are high in fibre and protein making it a great way to get some beans in my little ones diet. Plus the cinnamon and nutmeg makes it extra yummy I dont think the vanilla essence/paste is totally needed, especially for babies so feel free to leave that out or use less Let me know how you go! 11.01.2022 This has been a very exciting week in my business... 2nd samples are finished and are on their way to me where I will fit and make final changes and I may have found an ethical hat supplier only challenge lately has been my lack of time to do everything! But Im sure every mama can relate for all you work from home mamas ... how do you do it?! Im currently trying to get my family to help a bit more and even looking into fellow mama friends who want to do a bit of ...a baby minding swap this age is so sweet but so challenging to keep up! Ive also been challenged to be more present with Sam and intentionally help him learn and experience new things. Ive found this app called Kinedu and they have daily activities to help your baby learn and explore for each age and based on their current abilities. 11.01.2022 If you know me, you will know that Im an old soul at heart. I will have a cuppa tea in a pretty floral @royalalbertengland mug with my favourite biscuit (chocolate dipped scotch fingers are AMAZING - you must try!) at least once a day as my treat. I absolutely love all things vintage, the 1950s is my favourite era. They did everything with such elegance and sophistication, from how they talked to danced and dressed. Matchy matchy dressing and twinning (with not just the who...le family but the house furnishings also) was at its peak, and I just love it! 03.01.2022 What a privilege it is to be a mother. We are their safe place, their teacher, helper, fixer, carer, encourager, corrector, personal chef & cleaner... pretty much their everything for such a short time. What a privilege it is! #wearemothers
03.01.2022 The first time I took Sammy to the beach on my own was... lets say eventful... if it wasnt for the 10 minute trek through the bush with him on one arm and all my stuff in the other or the poo explosion mid change or the moment when he rubbed sand in his eyes.... id do solo beach trips more often! Living on a Mountian (45 mins to the beach) makes it so much harder and I do miss my lazy beach days but I wouldnt trade in this life for anything I bought this pretty @adairs beach umbrella and trolley to make life a little easier for me... hoping Ill get plenty of use out of it in the years to come!
