19.01.2022 A huge big shout out and Thankyou to all the fire fighters, parks, land and Sea Rangers, and all the rural fire volunteers and planes who saved Happy Valley today. The fire has gone around and all the houses and other buildings are safe. Thank you x a million.

11.01.2022 We have beautiful curlews that live right near The Happy House, sometimes they even stay in our front yard. Please look out for them and don’t disturb them

It’s VERY likely you will encounter a goanna in the yard, we do have geckos in the house and there are other animals and beasties including dingos that live all over the island. If you are scared of reptiles, insects or animals then please do not come to stay on the island. ... They will seek you out just to scare you See more

08.01.2022 A short 100m stroll to the beach, walk left along the beach and up in the dunes are some lovely Pandanus trees that you can use for sunrise pix like this one
