25.01.2022 ACT 2021 Indigenous Sports Grants Program Available How to Apply... 1. Download and fill in ‘Indigenous-Funding-Reguest-Form-NACT-2021’ form 2. You will then need to send this along with your proof of Aboriginality to your district to fill in the second half. Your district will then send both documents to Netball ACT on your behalf. Tuggeranong Netball Association ([email protected]) 3. You will then be sent a MyNetball link to register online for free by your club/district. If your registration is over $200 you will need to speak with your club about how you will cover the additional fee. 4. Netball ACT will then review your application and advise you and your district if you have been successful 5. If you have already paid your registration, Netball ACT will be reimbursing your district who will reimburse your club. You will need to arrange payment options directly with your club. If you could please communicate this with your members as soon as possible that would be greatly appreciated. We were able to secure a little more funding than last year however the earlier we run out the better as we can then ask for more funding. I will regularly provide updates on where the funding sits so that you can be aware when we are close to running out. If you have any questions please head to https://act.netball.com.au/2021-indigenous-sports-grant-pro in the first instance or feel free to give me a call. 20.01.2022 What a week for our Khaamburra Netball girls representing the ACT at the National Indigenous Schoolgirls Championships.... Our girls competed across all four age divisions (12s, 14s, 16s, 18s) playing a massive 45 games over five days. We had girls backing up the whole tournament playing in two teams and up an age group. Our girls improved over the week and played some good netball finishing with some solid wins. We are so proud of them all. Thank you to Top End for being our extended family this week, and to the girls who joined our teams. The girls have formed some solid friendships. Shoutout to all our players who weren’t able to make it after being impacted by the fires. We hope to have you back soon. And lastly, to our sponsors Relationships Australia and the ACT Aboriginal community bus, thank you.

01.01.2022 In 2021 Khaamburra Netball started the year off with a camp right here on Ngunnawal country. The girls spent the week doing a range of netball based activities: court sessions, fitness, umpiring, strength and conditioning. Had the chance to set some goals for the year ahead and spend time with other kids in a team environment. Rounding it off with time spent weaving, at the pool, the river, the movies and playing volleyball. Our girls were supported in a culturally safe envi...ronment to empower themselves, while kicking back and relaxing on a mini holiday in our own backyard. Thanks to Melina Saunders, Carmel Weatherburn and Matt Rodgers for donating your time, knowledge and resources to our girls. The lessons they learnt were invaluable. Thanks to Shaenice Allan for sharing your cultural knowledge. Thanks to the ACT Government for supporting Khaamburra Netball to re-engage our community after COVID. Can’t wait to roll out activities over the year for our community
