25.01.2022 Firearms Laws should be evidence based and focus on public safety. The current Bill misses the mark. The Bill needs to exclude legally held firearms. It’s a t...hreat to Law Abiding Firearms Owners and their legal activity with firearms. Farmers, target shooters, recreational shooters are all at risk of being caught up in this. The risk is that law abiding people, with no criminal intent can be charged, have their firearms seized, licence suspended. It doesn’t matter if it gets thrown out of court, the damage is done. We have had over 27,000 people sign the E-Petition to bring on a debate in the NSW Parliament. Lets aim to make the message even clearer that bad laws are not welcome and up that number. Even if you are not a shooter, the bill is an attack on freedoms that is all part of a slippery slope of Government over reach and intervention in good people’s lives that needs to be stopped.
