11.01.2022 KEELY WARCON . We are OVER THE MOON to have our girl Keely back in 2021 teaching every day at KHDANCE. . Keely danced with KHD from a very young age all the way up to her senior year in 2018. After finishing school, Keely secured a spot at Dynamite Studios on the Gold Coast. Here she studied and obtained her Cert 4 in dance and training full time for two years. ... . This year Keely will be teaching all Hip Hop classes, most Jazz classes, Acro, Strength and Conditioning. Plus in 2021 we will have Keely run our Junior and Senior performance team training weekly along with private lessons available for those wanting some tips and tricks to further their dance knowledge. . 05.01.2022 What a week... what a year. To what started as a normal and exciting year with big things planned. Was soon all tipped on its head when the world shut down. We were forced to shut the doors to the studio and cnacel all classes. By that afternoon the assistant teachers, Karen and Jake had sat down and made plans to move online. We made the most of what we had and at this stage we had ruled out any form of concert or end of year showcase. A few months on and restrictions easin...g we got back in the studio all 1.5m apart and separated into personal squares. (Not ideal when creating routines) but we did it and made it work. Still with no option of having a concert. Then the news we all wanted.. we could have large crowds outdoors. We immediately sat down and brainstormed. Contacted the amazing Burdekin Roosters and planned what would be our 2020 concert .. OUTSIDE! With only 8 weeks until showtime we began routines, planned rehearsals and threw together some DIY costumes. Which brought us to concert week. Restrictions eased and we could have just easily just reverted back to what was normal or easier and went back to the hall like normal. But we decided that we would continue what the year had prepared us for and took our show outdoors. The skies were clear and the weather was stunning! We could not have asked for a more perfect weekend. After what seemed impossible a few months ago we were so happy with the outcome. Thank you to the Burdekin Roosters for letting us turn their footy fields into a dance floor, thank you to the Brombal Family for their endless support, thank you to our beautiful assistant teachers for trusting us and our crazy ideas, thank you to the crowd for coming to our very different show, and THANK YOU to our students and parents who stuck by us through the hardest year we have had in 41 years! We cannot wait for 2021 and plan on making it bigger and better than ever!! Have safe and happy holidays and see you all soon!
