25.01.2022 Many years ago I did an in home demo for such a lovely couple. They just shared this photo with me a few days ago. They took one of their Thermi's on their family road trip up the WA coast, in their caravan. Last week they hosted a cooking demonstration to show some fellow travellers (from overseas!) how amazing their Thermi is! I Absolutely LOVED this so much and with their permission had to share. Thanks T & T ! I rememeber years ago we were camping in Kalbarri in our tent and I had my TM31 set up on a trestle table. We giggled as we were setting it up... and then this noise echoed through the caravan park... SOMEONE ELSE had a Thermi! It was too funny So go on, fess up. Who has taken their thermomix away with them camping, caravanning or even maybe on a plane to another kitchen because you just can't be without it!?

20.01.2022 Whooooooo says Thermi mash is no good Room temp potatoes ensure they cook within the 20 minutes. I used water, no milk. Just a bit of nuttlex to keep this dairy free paired perfectly last night with the beef stroganoff ... I also added close to 600g of potatoes (filled simmering basket ) and skipped the parmesan step. Look at this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo: Mashed potatoes for two https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r784780

06.01.2022 I'm making Beef Stroganoff as one of the meals for our house sitter while we're away. I've adjusted it to be dairy free by using coconut cream instead of sour cream and also olive oil to saute the onion instead of butter. I've used rump steak, too. I want to give you some tips to stop your meat from shredding. ... Cut your meat pieces (particularly chicken breast) slightly bigger than you normally would, because it probably will break down a little bit. This way, the pieces will still be big enough to eat normally. If you have a lot of sauce in the dish (like skinny mixers butter chicken) it's less important as there's more room for the chicken to move around in all of the liquid. If you are adding the beef like in this recipe, and you have only got some beautifully aromatic onions sauteeing, then you want to stop your blades and with your spatula, give it a really good stir. Make sure there are no bits of meat cooking to your blades and preventing the other meat from cooking perfectly. This one small step, which takes 10 seconds , a few minutes into the first cook, can really be the difference between perfect meat and shredded meat.

04.01.2022 Dinner tonight Mincing my own Turkey mince very soon and I'll hop on briefly to construct it. It's a quick recipe & I already have taco seasoning from last week so it'll be even quicker!! 01.01.2022 Strawberry Mousse

01.01.2022 Last night I went through the fridge and tried to use up as many veggies as I possibly could, so that we didn't waste much when we went away. I made my own version of spaghetti bog, which I blitzed up a massive amount of veggies, baby spinach, carrot, sweet potato, mushroom , tomatoes, onion, capsicum... i think that's it. I then cooked the rest on the stove top adding in a some vege stock, tomato paste, pork mince, garlic and Italian herbs. I cooked the fettucine to perfec...tion in my thermi though, while I was getting Ari to sleep. Then I made Beef stroganoff, using olive oil and coconut cream to keep it dairy free. Here's the recipe I made Look at this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo: Beef stroganoff https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r68522 then i made potato mash to go with it. Then I had sticky sesame chicken going, and while I was steaming the veg & cooking the rice , I put extra veg into the varoma so I could use them for the beef stroganoff and mash Look at this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo: Sticky sesame chicken https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r256224 Then I made pumpkin soup, but I added in a tomato and some sweet potato, along with the butternut pumpkin & carrot that it suggested. I skipped the cream, to keep it DF. Look at this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo: Pumpkin soup https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r68502 Normally I am not a fan of batch making meals to freeze, but this is a great way to have a 'back up' and obviously to keep our house sitter happy I even portioned up some for Ari for the nights that dinner is too late and she is tired, so I need something pre made. Yes I quality controlled and tested each of these and they were delicious. Only had one Thermomix on my bench too!
