23.01.2022 It was supposed to be a bumper season but so far it's been a bit bumpy! Here are some of the highlights so far.

23.01.2022 We're back! Again! The river has settled nicely. The sand is almost as white as before the fires. The edges are a bit muddy in places but we're back in business "Resilience" has been overused. We're proud of our "bouncebackability" . We're almost fully booked next week but all of April is gorgeous so get in when / if you can!

Her mum Ursula is a long-time friend of ours - her home at Kiah was sadly destroyed in the Border Fire on 4th January 2020 and she is still in temporary accommodation. She is incredibly proud of the achievements of all her clever children - Sacha is now known internationally for her incredible journey with the swans. What an inspiration!

05.01.2022 Just up the road from us, you'll cross a bridge over the Nullica River. We've been told that "Nullica" was the name for the place we now call Eden in the local Indigenous language. This ripper of a shot showcases the estuary at low tide. It's a fabulous place for all ages. We often see families wandering the sand flats, kayaking and it offers a great little wave for beginners on the beach. Go there! Credit to an amazingly talented local photographer Garry AndLiz Hunter.

04.01.2022 Sometimes you just have to take some motorised help . Quick trip in the tinny to the river mouth after our tour. The flood shifted huge amounts of sand around and the Whale Spit has changed shape. Nature - we can't beat it. When will we ever learn?

03.01.2022 FLOOD RECOVERY UPDATE: The river level has dropped but floodwater is still running quickly from upstream. If we can't see the tide impacting water levels, we know it's not yet safe to run tours. The water is very muddy and the level is about 2 metres higher than usual. Access to our boat ramp and campsites is covered in thick mud and still 'sticky' so we are unable to drive on it. At this stage, tours are cancelled until Saturday 3rd April when we'll review the situation ag...ain. So disappointed for our many guests who booked ahead in the hope of a 'normal' Easter break :(
