24.01.2022 A fantastic resource for Covid numbers, vaccine info, emotional health and protecting our communities. Well worth the read and a 'follow'

22.01.2022 Our last 80 private flu vaccines for 2020 supplies are now available for all patients. We also have limited free vaccines. We urge people to follow Department of Health Covid advice that we all get flu shots this year since getting Flu and COVID-19 at the same time can make people extremely ill: https://bit.ly/2BtB9RA More than 1,500 people at our practice have received the flu vaccine this year and all of our patients have now been sent their SMS flu vaccine reminders. Please call 02 4237 7502 today to book our final flu clinics for 2020 if you would like one. These are free for those meeting government criteria or $30 for general patients. Please click the picture below to check if you are eligible for free flu vaccines.

22.01.2022 Just a little video for our pregnant mums about Covid 19. Great info about risks to mums to be, those trying to have a baby, and those with young children. Some good news at last! #kiamagps

17.01.2022 Dear community. Our team are very happy to say that we now have: Online Covid vaccine bookings that are bulk billed for new and current patients by clicking the link below. We are releasing even more bookings as supplies arrive. We will generally list more bookings every on Monday and Friday. We're sorry but vaccines can't be booked over the phone because we need to give you some info and ask you some info that is too hard to get from a quick call. To find out if it's your... turn or ask anything the site below goes through almost all the questions that people have asked our team. It also covers how our reception team can help your friend or family if they can't use the internet to make a booking. Warm regards, The team at Kiama Downs Medical Practice See more

14.01.2022 Just a note for locals with any Covid symptoms who visited Wollongong, Figtree or Bulli over the weekend :)

14.01.2022 With Coronavirus (Covid-19) around our team are doing our best to keep our patients and our community healthy and safe. If you have cold or flu symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath or sore throat) please call us before you arrive as we cannot see you inside the practice; our GPs will assess you over the phone and if needed we will ask you to wait in your car or in a safe zone outside of the practice. This protects all of our patients in the practice and our community f...rom the spread of the virus. We have also added extra safety precautions with additional cleaning, disinfecting and patient hand sanitisers. We know that this is a hard and worrying time for all of us. You can now have phone appointments with your GP for many health concerns including scripts, results, pathology tests and referrals. Please make sure you continue to talk to or see your GP about your general health. All phone and normal appointments can be booked online at www.kiamadownsmedicalpractice.com.au. We appreciate your support and patience during this time and we are here if you need us. Most importantly please keep an eye out for the frail and elderly in your neighbourhood. Many of our older patients really need help with shopping (since family support and transport options are less available). We will be posting to ask for volunteers to help if need arises in the coming weeks. Best wishes, The team at KDMP

05.01.2022 This poor 4 year old in Kiama had his birthday party cancelled and got a drive-thru Covid 19 test instead! He kindly agreed to let us video it so other kids and parents out there can see it isn't that bad at all . We hope he encourages everyone in our area to please keep testing ourselves and our kids to help us reduce the spread of Covid-19 in our area. To find out Where to test near Kiama (including drive thru), Who should be tested and much more please see our page all a...bout Covid in the Kiama region: https://cutt.ly/covidkidstestvideo #itest4nsw #kiamagps

01.01.2022 *Update* We now have flu vaccine bookings online for $25 or free if you are on the free conditions list. To check the free list or book now online please click the picture below People who get the flu are likely to become more unwell this year. This is because lower numbers last year may have dropped off people's immunity. Avoiding the flu also drops the risk of needing GP or hospital care. This reduces your risk of getting Covid. Flu vaccines are free if someone is;... - under 5 years old - pregnant - Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander - 65 years and older - over 5 years old if you also have an 'at risk medical condition' * * including diabetes, heart disease and others on the list by clicking the picture below It is important to have a flu vaccine every year because the body’s protection against the flu (even after vaccination) decreases over time and because the flu types or strains the vaccine protects against change every year. Best wishes, The team at KDMP
