21.01.2022 We would like to thank everyone who played on Sunday and congratulate our new Kiama Ladies Open Champion Debbie Finlaison from the Highlands GC. With the weather on outside on Sunday we managed to attract 68 players filled with members and visitors from all over the Illawarra, which makes it our biggest ladies open to date. Debbie took the trophy by 3 shots with a score of 78, runner up for the day was Kiama local Gail Pottenger who finished on 81. We would like to thank everyone who played on Sunday and congradulate all the winners. A big thank you has to go out to Mark Yates and his team for presenting the course magnificently on the day. We hope to see everyone again next year

12.01.2022 Covid-19 ENTRY CONDITIONS UPDATE We ask that if you are unwell, please stay home. If you are displaying signs or symptoms of COVID-19 the club is required to refuse you entry. All staff have been trained to follow the club COVID-19 Safety plan which is available at reception.... Patron capacity will be limited to 230. This is based on one person per 2 square metres across the whole venue. If there are no chairs available, please move to another area of the club. Groups must distance from every other group. It is no longer necessary for a group of people at a table to distance from each other. BUT each group must remain 1.5m from every other group. o Mingling will be strongly discouraged. Everyone will be required to sign in AND sign out. This is a contact tracing requirement of clubs remaining open. You must remain seated to consume food or drink. While in an indoor area. There is a range of distancing and hygiene measures in place. This includes new signage, additional staff performing enhanced cleaning, COVID Marshalls, removal of all communal items, additional distancing measures, and some services will be switched off or moved. Sanitiser stations will be located at key areas around the club. We ask that in addition to regular hand washing, you use these stations when entering the club or moving about within the club. The Club is open as follows; o Monday 10.30am 10pm o Tuesday 10.30am 10pm o Wednesday 10.30am- 10pm o Thursday 10.30am- 10pm o Friday 10.30am-11pm o Saturday 10am 11pm o Sunday 10am 10pm Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner 7 days. 11.01.2022 Pennant Wrap up Week 3. The Illawarra Pennant team travelled to Wollongong and was looking to rebound from last week’s narrow loss. They did it in style with a commanding 4 - 1 win over Port Kembla. Beau Fraser starred with a 9/7 win. A special mention to Illawarra Pennant debutant Matthew Maxwell who won his match 2/1. Kiama’s B Pennant team travelled to Moss Vale to take on the undefeated Grange team. Peter Gassman did a great job recording a 1 up win. It was a solid eff...ort by the team but they ended up going down 3.5 to 1.5. It was a tough day as the Southern Highlands produced its usual 4 seasons in one day weather. The C Pennant team or as our President calls it the "Championship Division. It was always going to be a tough match taking on last year’s winners The Links Shell Cove. It wasn’t so tough for Graham Murtagh who took out his match 7/5. Kiama’s number one Wayne Cox who was 2 down with two to play fought back strongly to square his match. Wayne’s last-ditch effort saw Kiama and Links Shell Cove finish with 2.5 matches each to share the points. The White Horse Cup side travelled to Highlands Golf Club and went down 5-2 in their loss to Bowral. Steve Starr and Dean Moore were Kiama’s winners, with both winning their matches on the 18th hole. The Encourage Shield team had the bye this week but Darcy Boyd ensured they would stay sharp in taking them out for some Matchplay practice during the week.

06.01.2022 Bev Millard takes out the Ladies Gold Medal playoff this year with a wonderful score of 66 nett. Trish Laird was runner up with 75 nett. Bev has been waiting patiently for the gold medal win as it was her first since joining Kiama Golf Club in 1983! Congratulations to Bev and Trish as well as to all those who made the Playoff.

06.01.2022 With pennant season coming up we are now putting forward our nominations to members. You do not need any experience playing matchplay to nominate yourself to play, playing pennants is a great way to represent the club. We are putting forward the following teams for 2021: Illawarra Pennant (Open H’cap)... B Pennant (GA 5.5 & above) C Pennant (GA 12.5 & above) White Horse Cup (Up to GA 24.4) Nomination sheets are in the foyer of the club, nominations will close on the 23rd of December. Please insure you fill in all details requested on the sheets. If you require any further information in regards to Pennants please speak to Brett Dowd or Proshop staff.
