25.01.2022 #2020 // We’ve been saying #wereallinthistogether but for surf lifesavers it rings more true than ever. As the red and yellow flags go up in NSW this weekend (...QLD last weekend) we head into a season unlike any we’ve ever seen before but united as volunteers we have a passion to keep our communities safe, to stay fit, healthy and connected. We stand on the sand this season proud to be part of one of Australia’s most recognised and trusted icons. Whether we’re on patrol, working behind the scenes or part of the social side of our community hubs, we’re all in this together. Enjoy the season ahead from the furthest clubs north and those to the west and south, we’re so glad to be back stronger than ever. For two years sponsorship it will cost $1500, this money will go towards new sporting equipment and items for teaching our next generation of life savers. If your interested please get in touch.

18.01.2022 A huge congratulations to the kingfishers offical photographer Kristie Laird. Kristie has recently been awarded the NSW Rugby League volunteer of the year. A very well deserved award for Kristie. This year I have seen first hand the amount of work she does to have the club function the way it does has been a huge part of why they are in such a great position. I was lucky enough to be invited down to see Kristie be presented the award from Brad Fittler, where Freedy asked if I was available as an assistant coach for the blues. Sorry Freedy I have nippers. Congratulations again Kristie.

15.01.2022 Updated with today’s changes.

14.01.2022 Get on board people. Don’t think about it, just do it. Nothing to um and ah. Going to be a cracker.

14.01.2022 Great to be back on the beach today. We had some fantastic conditions prior to the break and today gave us some fantastic carnage. A good tricky wave rolling in today allowed everyone to test there skills. Today couldn’t of happened without some great work from water safety who worked tirelessly all morning, along with the age managers. At Kiama kingfishers we do our best to train and teach the kids about surf safety and on a regular basis practice rescues with the kids. Tod...ay during the 12s board a young girl lost her board on the way out, as water safety went to assist Evie Hokin shared her board allowing the other girl to hang and wait until she got her board back. It’s great seeing this stuff happen. Not only learning the skills and knowledge but also looking out for others. Well done Evie. A great morning with the sun out, looking forward to next week’s pointscore. See more
