25.01.2022 The health and safety of our clients, volunteers and staff is our top priority, and we are reaching out to our supporters to ask for help. Do you have any unope...ned bottles of hand sanitiser that you may be able to spare? Please consider donating these to your local Meals on Wheels. We have been unable to obtain supply in various areas around the State, and any quantity you could donate to us would be greatly appreciated. To locate your nearest Meals on Wheels service in NSW, visit our website at https://nswmealsonwheels.org.au/Find-Us and give them a call to arrange the best way to drop off any unopened hand sanitiser you may have. #mownsw #mealsonwheelsnsw #morethanjustameal #weneedyourhelp #handsanitiser #COVID19

22.01.2022 Gone are the days of casseroles and bolognaise, North Shoalhaven Meals on Wheels have prawns on the menu! Thats just a small sample of whats on offer along wi...th some great tasting desserts. The organisation has recently picked up a series of awards including one for volunteering which was taken out by Cathie Reed who works tirelessly south of Nowra. North Shoalhaven Meals on Wheels manager Lisa Burns is encouraging more people to join the organisation and is even on the lookout for someone that can produce a tasty prawn dish and more. "I got a telephone call from one of our clients, and she said to me I just got to say thank you so much. "Im on a pension, and I never get to eat prawns." It turns out the champion dish comes from the Jervis Bay branch. "Cathie Reed is going to be leaving us soon and so if there are any budding cooks that want to come and work with Meals on Wheels. You can start your apprenticeship now." If you or someone you know is keen to lend a hand, give Lisa a call on 4422 5111 and check out their Facebook page @northshoalhavenmealsonwheels to check the status of their new kitchen. (DUR 11,30)

08.01.2022 We tend to fly under the radar here at Meals on Wheels NSW, but our Meals on Wheels Services around the State are all doing an amazing job with supporting their... local communities affected by fires and drought this season. We have 155 Services around the State, many in fire and drought affected areas, and the volunteer and staff dedication and support during these difficult days (whether that be by checking on elderly clients in affected areas, or supporting members of local communities with meals), make us very proud to be part of this organisation.
