23.01.2022 On Thursday 10 September, a group of 17 Year 10 students visited the Holocaust Institute in Yokine. The purpose of the visit was to enhance student’s understanding of this dark event in history and to complement their studies of this period in English and HASS classes. While the content of the excursion was confronting at times, students responded maturely and asked some terrific questions. The excursion ended with an address from Rivka, a 91 year-old survivor of the Holocaust. Her story was extremely moving and her ability to endure her suffering, survive and live a successful life provides a tremendous example for our students.
