21.01.2022 The brief at Sandy cottage was to remove the rear ad hoc lean to’s and provide an open plan addition that connects with the rear yard. Balancing the new scale was important so not to impose on the yard and to respect the existing cottage. We’ve limited the overall height of the addition, to sit lower than the ridge of the existing cottage but still provided 3.0m ceilings and 2.7m high doors for a feeling of space within. #kibbindesignstudio #workinprogress

14.01.2022 Twin Figs: A contemporary farm house in a hidden south coast valley, this site has access to 270 degree panoramic views. Given the location it seemed appropriate to create a building form that reflected the escarpment silhouette that stood in the distance at either end of the building envelope. #kibbindesignstudio #workinprogress
