23.01.2022 Broken Hill. Have you been? It’s probably the most accessible outback town for people in Sydney to visit as the roads there are sealed. I think it’s a place that needs to be on your bucket list for numerous reasons. We drove to Broken Hill via Dubbo, staying the first night in Nyngan. My only regret is not staying in White Cliffs along the way, but maybe I can do that in 2021. (Find an opal is on my bucket list too). If you don’t have an AWD or 4WD you can still get there. Ma...ke sure to drive only when the sun is up so you don’t collect a top, emu or goat. And.....invest in fly nets. They’re horrific!! @visitnsw #brokenhill #HolidayHereThisYear #tripadvisorfamily #escapesnaps #outbackaustralia #outbacknsw

23.01.2022 Wait.....what? And here I was thinking it was a weird ladder thingy

22.01.2022 This is one of my favourite photos from our Outback NSW trip all because of that sky. This is the Little Topar Roadhouse. The kids played a game of footy outside while we stocked up on some snacks (and a toilet break) before heading off on our last leg to Broken Hill. Those clouds!!!... #littletoparroadhouse #brokenhill #brokenhillnsw #outbacknsw #outbackaustralia #outbacknswaustralia #visitnsw #HolidayHereThisYear #tripadvisorfamily #escapesnaps

19.01.2022 Ever wondered how brooms are made? Head to the Tumut Broom Factory, one of the last broom factories in Australia, and see for yourself.

18.01.2022 This is a different kind of post. This is about supporting Australians. Batlow apple orchids were impacted by the summer bushfires with either the fires racing through and destroying many of their orchards, or the radiant heat melting the fruit tree protection into the trees which will impact the fruit for the next few years. Batlow apples are always a favourite so we stopped by a few producers to buy apples, cider and apple juice. ... I also found local hazelnuts - the best I’ve tried. We’ve filled an esky, but probably should have packed two!! #buyfromthebush #EmptyEsky #batlow #batlowapples #batlowcider #batlownsw #visitnsw #supportlocal #snowyvalleys

16.01.2022 Melbourne! You did this! I’m becoming more hopeful that we can return for Christmas to see our family.

16.01.2022 With borders opening up.....

13.01.2022 Blowering Dam is a huge water reserve just near Tumut. It’s site of the world water speed record set in 1978. My grandfather worked on the Hydro-electric scheme in Tasmania after he arrived in Australia after WWII so I’m fascinated by the engineering behind hydro electricity. Blowering Dam stored water releases upstream for electricity generation. We walked along the Dan walk. It’s 747 meters long and 114 metres high. ... If you like fishing, well you should see the monsters they pull out of here! #snowyvalleys #snowymountains #snowyvalleyscouncil #bloweringdam #tumut #kosciuszkobridge #familytravels #engineering @ Blowering Dam Wall

11.01.2022 Canberra is one of the most underrated cities to visit in Australia with a plethora of activities for the whole family. We’ve updated our resource Canberra bucket list after our spring holiday visit

10.01.2022 Argh! It’s raining. Play centre?

07.01.2022 Mungo National Park must be one of the most spectacular yet surreal places we’ve visited here in @visitnsw The Walls of China were absolutely spectacular. We booked a tour so we could explore, finding old middens, fascinating shaped sand and clay dunes. And there was no sound! This is also the very site where Mungo Man was discovered in 1974. His skeleton was dated at over 42,000 years old - Australia's oldest known human skeleton. He was sophisticated at the ochre covering ...him had been sourced over 200km away. Put it on your bucket list. #bucketlist #mungonationalpark #mungopark #visitnsw #holidayherethisyear #outbackaustralia #tripadvisorfamily #escapesnaps #visitnsw

04.01.2022 Spring in Tumut means green grass, running creeks and rivers, and wildlife. We’ve had an amazing time in the @visitsnowyvalleys area and have promised to return. We have a few after talks to chase! Now....to plan our summer holiday break (please, please open the borders so we can go home for Christmas!)... #HolidayHereThisYear #tripadvisorfamily #escapesnaps #visitnsw #visittumut #tumut #tumutriver #tumutregion #snowyvalleys #snowymountains

03.01.2022 Love Taronga Zoo Sydney? We want to send 5 of you for a visit (and your family!)

02.01.2022 Summer holidays have always been a time for adventure. A week on @authentickangarooisland was one of our most amazing times with its pristine waters, incredible wildlife and sights. Kangaroo Island is in @southaustralia and while you’ll need to catch a ferry to get there, it’s fairly accessible. ... I hope we can explore this summer! #HolidayHereThisYear #tripadvisorfamily #escapesnaps #travelinspiration #travellove #travelkids #placestogo #guardiantravelsnaps #cntraveler #backpacker #jetset #travelingwithkids #lovetotravel #letsclicksociety #travelwithbaby #traveljunkie #vacationwolf #escapetravel #familytrip #traveltogether #adventuretogether #familydays #travelbuddy #goeverywhere

01.01.2022 Keep out! Our road trip to Broken Hill was an incredible experience. Watching the landscape change as we travelled from Sydney, over the Blue Mountains, through Mudgee, to Dubbo and across to Broken Hill via Nyngan was fascinating. We have so many colours in our landscape! There was one point where our adventure took us to this sign. Would you keep going?... #visitnsw #familytravel #roadtrip #australia #thisisaustralia

01.01.2022 My kids have been obsessed with rivers lately. They seem to ground themselves by simply stepping into the cool water. I’m thinking that water provides the best backdrop to mindfulness.
