25.01.2022 APRIL SCHOOL HOLIDAYS Signature filmmaking workshops. Back to where it all began at Mitcham Cultural Village.

25.01.2022 Go India!!! Go Stella!!!

24.01.2022 So many great things happened in 2020- for KCA and many more wonderful things to happen in 2021. Merry Christmas for now, see you all in January! Here is one of our previous Ambassadors talking about what they are doing now and how KCA shaped who they are today. Thanks Ingrid Coram!... Of course, overwhelmingly, going to Giffoni was one of the greatest experiences I have ever been lucky enough to have. I guess that's not directly a KCA experience, but it certainly wouldn't have happened without it. Other than that, starting the classes when I had just moved to Adelaide was such a wonderful way of meeting people and spending my time productively. The classes were so much fun and so fulfilling. My favourite film would have to be Whisper - it was such a small, close-knit group, and was such a fun few days filming in the industrial area of Bowden. I loved our creativity with the film and I was really proud of the final product! One thing I've learned more recently is that the best thing you can do in life is to take every opportunity you get. You're far more likely to regret not doing something than doing it, and getting involved and building a well-rounded, exciting life is so worthwhile. So to any kids thinking about getting involved - you have absolutely nothing to lose and so much to gain! You will thank yourself for the memories you make, the friends you meet, and the growth you get from all of your life experiences. I've attached a recent photo! Taken on a day when my housemate and I tried to lift our spirits during Melbourne's endless lockdown... I'm looking forward to seeing where the future of KCA goes. Thank you for all the amazing opportunities you gave me during my teenage years!

02.01.2022 In Sydney for the Edutech conference EduTECH Australia. Thought we would pop past Vivid.

02.01.2022 Did you know December 2020 marks 10 years of KCA? Sebastien Skubala was our Ambassador in 2013. Since then he has gone on to do great things!... This is what he told us.... I co-wrote a short film that was a Trop Jr finalist in 2017. I have studied Filmmaking to SACE Stage One level. I was on the Youth Jury of the 2019 Adelaide International Youth Film Festival. I wrote my first short film screenplay in 2020, based on an idea that came to me in a dream! It was adapted for stage as part of SACE Drama. I have just turned 18 and am completing my final year at school next year. My favourite KCA film is Ristorante Infecte, which was my very first film at KCA! KCA is a great way for young aspiring filmmakers to get hands-on experience in the fundamentals of the creative process of filmmaking.

01.01.2022 Excited to bring these books to life on the big screen. If you haven't read them yet, make sure you do. The central character of Pollo di Nozi is quirky, funny and completely inspiring, along with her sidekick pet sheep, Shorn Connery and new mate Will, the adventures they have are of course worthy to make it to the movies.

01.01.2022 Nice to get a group of super enthusiastic kids this week. They did an incredible job in the heatwave, to come up with "The Production Meeting" Thank you Laura Franklin
