STOP Discrimination of the FDC working Parent 1,724 Supporters As working parents FDC educators are entitled to choose to put their own children into childcare, the same as other working parents. Family Day Care Educators should have the freedom to choose what kind of service they use, their decision should not be based on what a politician tells them to do, but based on what they believe is the best care environment for their own child. FDC Educators are being forced to not use the very service they provide, promote and are passionate about. FDC deserves the recognition of being the professional service it has worked so hard to become, by forcing FDC educators to send their own children to a childcare centre it is going to fuel the perception that Centres are best when the truth is families need to find a service that works for them. Family Day Care could lose credibility in the publics eyes, what FDC educator would choose a job to do but not use the very service they provide?? Rural regions in Australia will have very limited options for childcare, some areas only have access to FDC, what do these educators do if they need to put their own children in care for whatever reason? FDC educators are being discriminated against on a huge level. Other early childhood educators arent restricted as to what type of care they choose to place their children in so why should Family Day Care educators be limited in their choice. We need to stop penalising the Schemes and Educators involved in Family Day Care who are doing the right thing, they work hard to be the professionals they are and deserve recognition for that.

17.01.2022 A message from Family Day Care Australia 30 January 2015 **BREAKING NEWS**... FDCA HAS REGULATION WITHDRAWN WITH SUPPORT OF SENATOR XENOPHON Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) with the crucial support of independent South Australian Senator Nick Xenophon has today been successful in revoking the regulation which restricts educators from accessing family day care for their own children. After discussions with FDCA and the Educators Association of SA, which brought the impact of the regulation to his attention, Senator Xenophon this week negotiated with the Minister for Social Services, the Hon Scott Morrison MP, and had the requirement withdrawn. We would like to applaud the Minister on this decision and express our sincere appreciation to Senator Xenophon for his support of FDCAs campaign and of the family day care sector. FDCA now welcomes the opportunity provided by Senator Xenophon and the Minister to work closely with the Government in developing and implementing other policy and regulatory options that will aid in ensuring the provision of quality early childhood education and care that supports high quality learning and developmental outcomes for Australian children. Family day care services will no longer be forced to comply from 3 February 2015 with the regulation that requires services to ensure their educators do not obtain a session of care for their children from an educator in any family day care service on a day on which the family day care educator provides any session of care to a child. This is the best possible outcome for the many quality family day care services and educators who place their own children in family day care for a whole range of legitimate reasons. FDCA would like to thank our members for your continued support throughout the Unite for Rights campaign and in helping us to identify the human rights limitations and other significant impacts outlined in our submission to the Senate Committees. Keep up with the good work!... Just a Reminder: -The Office will be closing on the 19th Of Dec and re-opens on the 5th of Jan. 06.01.2022 Hi Educators The new legislation might have created certain misunderstandings regarding our priorities. In order to perform well as a team, any uncertainties should be removed and challenges should be embraced. I would take this opportunity to remind you of the decisions made by the Department. As you all have been advised and trained about the new legislation changes regarding swapping. You and your partner cant not claim the same session and days for your children when t...hey are attending a day care. We have been calling everyone to keep you up to date with the new legislation changes, because of that we are sorry to inform you, we are not processing your time sheet. If we have sent you a documents to sign or we have asked you to come in for meetings and you havent followed through. Please do understand there is laws and regulations we have to follow. There is a deadline on October 28 for you to sign the documents attached to this email and return it to us. (One form is to sign by the educator and the other form is to sign by the parent). Please ignore this if you have signed these documents and you have been to the meetings. The extra time put in by all of us is to accomplish and to understand the new regulation changes and to avoid any miscommunication. Kids Time FDC is one of the best service providers industry wide. A high level of commitment and energy is needed to make us follow the proper policy and procedures put in place by us and the department. We can achieve this by working together as a team. Thank you all for your cooperation.

So again its STRICTLY FOR EDUCATORS ONLY unless you have been assigned by KTFDC to do an item than you can bring them along. Please R.S.V.P by Thursday to KTFDC. It is an all you can eat Buffet so please NO kids are allowed unless of coarse your family is apart of the entertainment. Thanks :)
