25.01.2022 Why would kids need Occupational Therapy? they don’t go to work! I know there can be lot of confusion about occupational therapy and what it even means for kids! On my website I’ve talked a little about the occupations of children. https://www.kidsbusinessot.com.au/. Click on "What is OT" on the menu.

15.01.2022 With children starting to return to the classroom, OT Australia have shared some tips for helping you and your children when considering the readjustment back to school. Here in Victoria our youngest students will resume next week. After such a significant disruption,it may be helpful to prepare your child, like you did when they started school for the first time.

11.01.2022 To prepare our younger students for returning to school next week, here is an example of how a Social Story can be written to help them understand the changes that may be in place post COVID-19.

06.01.2022 Hi! My name is Lydia and I’d like to introduce you to Kids Business Occupational Therapy, my mobile children’s occupational therapy service. Yes I acknowledge this is perhaps the worse possible time to start a new business! However, it’s been months in the making, and after receiving some lovely encouragement this week, I would like to do so ANYWAY! I hope that over the next several months, you can get to know me and my service by following me on Facebook, whilst I look f...orward to safer times when I can work with children and families in their homes or at school/kinder. In the meantime, I am busily up-skilling to be able offer paediatric occupational therapy via telehealth! I wish everyone to stay safe and well during these tough times. Lydia x

03.01.2022 Term 2, Week 1 ‘Learning from Home’ done!!! We have had to figure out how to access schoolwork online, adjust to a new role in supporting our children’s education, while juggling work, childcare, and household tasks. Phew! No wonder we are feeling exhausted! Our children are adjusting too. We can see this in their 'behavior'. Using visual schedules is one way to support your child's understanding and structure of the new school day. Some more links/resources in comments, please share yours too!
