01.01.2022 At Kidscoast we still want to support you and your kids with their speech, language and literacy goals during this difficult time. We have made some changes to the way we deliver our services and have adjusted the fee schedule for Term 2 so that speech therapy for your child can be more accessible during what is, and what will be a financially challenging period for many families. So... for Term 2 I will still be offering initial assessment appointments in my Bli Bli clinic ...at a reduced cost of $170. This includes a one hour clinic appointment, half hour Telehealth feedback session and written report. Following the assessment, therapy (if required) will be offered via Telehealth at a significantly reduced rate of $55 per half hour session. Telehealth has been used effectively as an alternate way of providing speech pathology services for many years and research evidence has demonstrated its effectiveness. While ALL children won’t necessarily co-operate with on-screen intervention, it can be an excellent opportunity for me to coach you so that you can implement the strategies with your child at home. My goal is to support as many families as possible in our Sunny Coast community who need speech therapy during this Coronavirus crisis, so that our kids can continue to reach their potential and develop into confident and effective little communicators!
