22.01.2022 Isn’t this the truth? We’re currently away on holidays with our girls and they’ve been very excited to be somewhere new and of course to have daddy with us and not at work. It’s been a crazy 24 hours since we arrived but hopefully they’ll settle into some kinda chill mode...or am I dreaming.... I’ve also heard other parents say in passing, please stop screaming/running/jumping/shouting to their kids so we aren’t the only parent holidaying with crazy kids How’s your school holidays so far?
19.01.2022 The BIG 3-0! Yep! I have that awkward birthday after Boxing Day and today I turned 30! In the lead up to turning 30 I’ve had mixed feelings, a lot around getting old and to be honest that comparison game... comparing my self now to early 20s me (stupid) or to what others achieved by 30. ... A while ago I told myself that by 30 I wanted to have finished having my babies and have lost my baby weight but looking back on today the best part of my day was spending it with Ryan and the girls They are the biggest achievement of my life to date. Recipe for a good birthday; Hubby made breaky and picked me up a coffee. Chill time with the kids after some crazy festive days. Shopping where hubby takes the kids while you go into the shops alone. Beach hangs with the snacks hubby packed. Fish and chips for dinner on the deck with tuckered out kiddos who were too tired to squeeze in the Krispy Kreme Donut Cake hubby had sorted... I guess we will just have to do the candles and singing tomorrow and extend out the celebrations! Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday and the get well wishes after I had gastro over Christmas. Luckily it didn’t ruin today

15.01.2022 Isn’t it better together?! I don’t know about you, but despite the craziness that has been 2020, I’ve come to learn that there is nothing better than being together as a family unit. I live for those pockets of time we can hang together. Being able to have daddy home with us for 16 whole days over the Christmas break has been wonderful. We’ve been able to hang out and have some family outings. ... The only thing we didn’t do is have a cheeky getaway but we had enough on with Christmas and my birthday!! I want to pencil one in for the next stint of time off Ryan has.. Did you go away this Christmas break? If so where did you go? If not, where’s your fave place to go?!

It’s been a crazy minute since I shared some facts about me, Kirsten, the boss mama behind the business. 1I wear dresses so often because I suck at matching bottoms and tops together ... 2I wore flats on my wedding day because Ryan is the same height and I didn’t want to be taller, also because comfort 3I always wanted to be a girl mama and though our family is complete. 10.01.2022 Do you do something special together? I’ve talked about it before that both my girls are daddy’s girls and Maddison has been loving having her dad home. They’ve had so much quality one on one time which has been great (their love language is quality time) It’s made me realise that we have special things we do together. Daddy taught Maddison to play wii tennis and he’s the one she usually plays her board games with.... Mummy is the go to craft person and we hang in cafes together. I think beach hangs with the girls will be our girl gang thing... we had so much fun yesterday I’m all about creating those special moments and memories. 07.01.2022 How’s your school holidays going?! 1 week down, 1 week to go!! We were lucky enough to break up the holidays with a cheeky getaway down south but now it’s back to reality and working mum life with a 4yo who won’t be at school this week.... This week I had that realization that the summer holidays is going to be really LONG!! I will need to plan some stuff for that. But back to the week ahead. I’ve got a few things planned for Maddison. I find the key to keeping kids entertained is having a lot of little activities you can grab, having lots of snacks and breaking it up with an outing or 2 (when you aren’t in iso) It’s important to remember to be realistic with your expectations of your child and their attention span and something that works well for us is me explaining to Maddison if I need to do something for work/house and she needs to do something on her own. She understands that pretty well at 4yo. Here are some of the things I’m thinking of this week Baking scones ( an activity that results in snacks ) Crafts - I want to make something big with the cardboard in our recycling tower Park Hangs - hopefully some Perth mamas will be free to hang out Cafe date Construction Play set ups with Duplo/Blocks/Magnet Tiles Board games and puzzles when the littlest is at daycare This is just to get us started. I’ll have to pull out some of our regular go tos as well. What are you doing with the kids this week?
04.01.2022 How to make life easier In a world where we are are busier and more time poor than ever, surely I’m not alone in saying there are some things I do to make life easier... don’t they say work smarter, not harder? I’m talking about convenience. Why would I use my precious time doing some things when I could have it done for me. It’s a part of the reason KCB came to life. I’ve planned and prepped the the crafts for you so you can use your time enjoying that time with your lit...tle one instead of prepping it. Seems like a no brainer really? I’m about to become a school mum and life is already a little hectic with 2 kids, 2 small businesses, a hubby who works long hours and life in general...then we will throw in school So far I’m hoping my @stephpaseplanners will keep me in check. It’s got me meal planning already. I’m back to daily washing and folding because it gets it done so it doesn’t pile into a mountain #ihatefolding I think I’ll go back to click and collect shopping. Shopping with toddlers is hard... shopping with Arabelle is hard. I’m trying to figure out what I can do to make my life easier. Any convenience that could help me out? Any tips and tricks are appreciated?
