Here are a few activity ideas to keep you and your child active and engaged. Animal walks for transitions or outside at the park. (see below) Obstacle courses on the playground, give your child a sequence to follow then repeat backwards. Fine motor games such as jenga, bed bugs, playdough play, rice... box with tweezers and erasers/small objects, pegboards, lacing and threading. 09.01.2022 It is with much sadness that I have decided to temporarily close the Kids Just Right clinic due to Covid-19. You and your familys health and wellbeing as well as my familys health are my primary concern and I feel this is necessary at this unprecedented time for the safety of all of us and the wider community. I am offering Telehealth services to all existing clients, but am unable to offer services to new clients or conduct new assessments at this time. I will reopen the clinic as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime I look forward to seeing you on video chat and keep an eye out on this page for home program and activity ideas. 07.01.2022 NDIS Participants. Good news released today that low cost assistive technology items can now be funded by NDIS to enable better access to equipment for therapy at home. Please see NDIS Website for further details, but here is information received today. https://www.ndis.gov.au/providers/price-guides-and-pricing... "The NDIS Price Guide and Support Catalogue has been updated as part of the additional response to COVID-19 announced by the Minister on 27 April, and is now available on the NDIS website. Temporary line items have been introduced to help ensure continuity of support to NDIS participants at this time, including: low cost assistive technology (AT) AT rental when leaving hospital (Hospital discharge) supported independent living (SIL). Low cost AT COVID-19 low cost AT to support capacity building support delivery 15_222400911_0124_1_3 To assist participant access to supports and interpreting services being delivered online, this new support item enables access to capacity building funds for low cost AT such as fitness equipment and smart devices. The cost of a smart device should not exceed $750 and a number of requirements need to be met before participants can use NDIS funds to buy low cost AT itemsrefer to the NDIS website for more details."
