22.01.2022 Yesterday we ventured to Albion Park to visit the Go Play Centre. What a wonderful facility. We used our gross motor skills to jump, roll, climb and play on the inflatable obstacles. ... Engaging within the community and with our friends. what a great day had by all

20.01.2022 What a fantastic day out yesterday at Bangalee Bush Reserve! We arrived at Bangalee and split into two groups, One group trekked up the mountain to the condies cemetery exploring the bush land along the way. The other walked with Sharmaine and her metal detector seeing what treasures could be found. Using shovels to dig up what was found. ... We found something which was very old which we are not sure what it could be? Do you know? We enjoyed sausage sandwiches for lunch and games together on the green grass! Clay creations were made using clay and natural materials. What a great Thursday for vacation care!

10.01.2022 What a special experience today was! We had the St Johns Aboriginal dancers visit our service for NAIDOC week. They performed some traditional dancers and chants, as groups of men and women. We heard some reflection from the dancers about their culture and they then engaged in some experiences with us. ... We were able to use the ochre on our face and hands, engage in some simple traditional dancers. Draw aboriginal symbols with some chalk whilst having a yarn with the dancers. 05.01.2022 What a great Easter concert we had here at Kids Korner today. We sung and we danced We paraded our Easter hats... We had a special visit from the Easter Bunny We thank all our families for a successful Easter concert and such a huge response to our raffle. Raffle prize winners have been contacted. Thank you to all the Kids Korner educators for all your hard work day in and day out! We are so proud of our Kids Korner family.

05.01.2022 Yesterday we went on our last school transition bus trip. We travelled to St Michaels, Illaroo rd, Nowra Anglican College and Shoalhaven heads public school. Our bright vests we put on, along with our seatbelts.... A big round trip for us all out and about in our community. We ventured into Coolangatta for a drive by Addison's house, we stopped off for an icy treat before heading back to Kids Korner.

04.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK To continue our naidoc celebrations we had Ashleigh from Ripe mentoring who is Isabella from the caterpillar rooms mum attend our service to talk about her culture and family traditions. She showed us a traditional dance and told us a local Dreamtime story. We then engaged with Ashleigh added ochre to our faces and joining in a corroboree to wake up Mother Earth. ...
