25.01.2022 Getting in to the routine after the long holiday break can be difficult. Below are some hints and tips to make the transition a little easier and hopefully smoother!!

20.01.2022 Nursery rhymes and finger plays have many benefits. Long car trips or just taking a walk are great times to 'sing' the nursery rhymes such as twinkle twinkle little star (which is also the tune for the alphabet), Humpty Dumpty and Jack and Jill. They include repetition, anticipation and rhythm which help with pre reading skills. Finger plays are also great for little ones eg This little piggy went to market, Incy Wincy spider and where is Thumbkin. The finger plays help with finger isolation, fine motor skills and social skills. Finger plays encourage eye contact, social contact and early speech skills. Kids love it when mum and dad sing along with them also and not just the CD.
