25.01.2022 Elizabeth Green and I discussed about a growing group of children with ear infections who have their essential treatment deferred due to COVID 19 restrictions. Issues include speech/ language impairment and ear pain. Elizabeth wrote a nice article in The West today. Hopefully this will draw some attention to our Government in their meeting next week!

16.01.2022 Important announcement today on gradual lifting of elective surgeries. I will be working with SJOG Murdoch Hospital to aim to restart certain key procedures from Thursday 30th April. My secretaries will get in touch with these parents over the next few days regarding their childs surgery.

15.01.2022 Our country patients who had surgery, mainly adeno-tonsillectomy, are still required to stay in the Perth Metropolitan area for the full 14 days postop for safety reasons. You will be exempted from the travel restrictions for medical reasons. If you need a letter to support your travel home, please contact my office via phone or email.

11.01.2022 This is a very informative and easy to understand article about middle ear infections in kids. If you have any concerns about your child's ear infections, contact your GP to organise an ENT and hearing assessment.

10.01.2022 Due to the current situation with COVID-19, the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery(ASOHNS) has advised all its members to cease face to face consultations. All elective ENT surgeries have to be deferred as well. This will be reviewed on a monthly basis. I am continuing to provide my services but as phone consultations only. My office is still open and can be contactable by phone, email or fax. All phone consults have been allocated new MBS item numbers and are fully rebatable. I seek your understanding at this challenging time. Thank you.

01.01.2022 We have another first! Ear surgeries for kids in the Djaalinj Waakinj programme has restarted. We have achieved another milestone in the project and a child will be having his tonsils removed under the programme! Thank you SJOG Murdoch Hospital and Telethon Kids Institute for the collaboration.

01.01.2022 Face to face consultations with audiology service will recommence next Friday. Patient bookings have been spaced out for distancing purposes. Daycase surgeries will restart this week for the little ones needing their grommets and treatment for ear infections. Overnight surgeries (tonsillectomies; turbinate surgery) will commence in 2 weeks. This is a gradual reinstating of service levels. In the mean time, I encourage you to visit your regular GPs as well for any issues.
