23.01.2022 Over the last 2 Physio sessions Florence has completed the BOT2 assessment. The Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency is used to measure gross and fine motor skills in both typically developing children and children with developmental disabilities. It can assess children aged 4-21 years and is a great way to understand a child’s strengths and challenges, and use the information to set goals for therapy!... Well done Florence! You did a great job and I look forward to scoring up the results

With correct positioning and support, this walker has helped Rhana achieve: Improved lower limb muscle activation and power Increased weightbearing through both legs... and most importantly, freedom to do what she loves best - moving on her own at home and outside on sunny days Keep up the great work Rhana! Chair set up with something motivating 3. Arms up 4. Chin tuck 5. Lean forward 6. Wait for Chris’ body to be ready and take over the movement 7. Forward and push down through feet 8. Stand up 9. Get the reward (for Chris this is an iPad with music. Remember if it’s on all the time, it’s not motivating!! To be eligible you need to be t...he carer of the child and the child needs to have a specified medical condition. Specified medical conditions include: Cerebral palsy Down syndrome Severe intellectual disability Muscular dystrophy Cystic fibrosis Rheumatoid arthritis Childhood cancer You will need evidence of your child’s medical condition, which your GP may already have. You also need evidence that you are a carer. Your GP may already have this or you can show you receive the Carer Allowance or Carer Payment.
