25.01.2022 Hugs for everyone! Over the years, we’ve witnessed some extraordinary friendships evolve between orphaned animals of differing species, as they find solace in ...one other at our Nursery and Reintegration Units. Our original class clown Ajok, for instance, grew up with orphaned zebra Magua and happily shared his affection with his striped pal (as seen in this #FlashbackFriday picture taken in 1991). Perhaps the most surprising friendship ever to blossom, however, was that between Maxwell, our blind black rhino, and his orphaned Sacred Ibis friend Shabby Sheik. In a case of little meets large, Shabby would fly into Maxwell’s stockade and spend hours in his company, sitting next to him while he slept! 24.01.2022 Well worth reading! I don't know where this originated, but it's a beautiful story!

22.01.2022 I wish there were more of these throughout the world, after all it’s only fair if we humans encroach on our wildlife’s land that we provide safe passage for them. Say YES if you agree

16.01.2022 Due to the new small numbers of COVID19 occurring in QLD, we are moving back to virtual meet and greets and home inspections. What does this mean if we want t...o adopt? All it means is that instead of coming to a foster carers home, you will have a FaceTime or Zoom chat with the foster carer showing off the animal/s you are interested in For home checks, it means you will be asked to submit photos or short videos of your home to show window security and fence security. We are committed to keeping our foster carers and the public safe during this time and will update when the government provides further instructions. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

13.01.2022 A great Christmas gift idea

05.01.2022 For those brave men, women and animals who gave their lives so we could live ours. Today we remember them. 04.01.2022 Lest We Forget.

04.01.2022 It can be so hard, when your dog dies, to even think of another dog in their place. Some of our Carers have found that by fostering (when the time is right) ha...s actually helped with the grief. Fostering isn’t a permanent commitment, you’re essentially just dog sitting for someone else, but by offering a pound dog a temporary place in your home, you save their life. If you’d like to find out more about fostering, send us a message and we’ll answer your questions.
