23.01.2022 Constipation & Soiling in children ages 3-15 parent session! - 17th of November, 7:00pm to 8:30pm Book using the link below to join us for our 1.5 hour face-to-face parent session, focusing on toilet training young kids and kids with special needs. Here's some info: Soiling and constipation are surprisingly common in children older than 3, and require medical attention. It is not about failed toilet training. This session uses evidence-based knowledge to tackle this awkward t...opic and provides parents resources to get started right away. Here's to happy, clean, independent kids! This parent seminar will be presented by Rebecca Khan (BOccThy, GradDip Div), a local Occupational Therapist who has been nicknamed the Poo Ninja, Poo Whisperer & Poo Doctor. She has been working in the field of Paediatric Continence (kids' wees & poos) since 2002 and owns Kids That Go Therapies. She is dedicated to informed, family-centred care that inspires children to be independent, confident and get on with being a kid. All carers are invited. There will be a time for questions at the end and light refreshments will be served. Resource packs will be available for purchase. If you cannot attend but would like access to the session and provided resources, please email us ([email protected]) for a recording. Kids That Go Therapies is a Registered NDIS provider. Hence, you may be able to complete payment for this event using your NDIS funds where you have allowance in your child's plan for parent training. For more information, please call us on (07) 3087 1904 or email [email protected].
22.01.2022 ! Isolation has us all at home more with our kids with fewer items on our schedule and fewer interruptions from outside. This is a great time to focus on some issues you might be experiencing with your child. At Kids That Go, we have put together 3 closed Facebook groups to support you and your kids. These 3 groups are 'Sleeping Bliss', 'Taming Big Behaviours', and 'Poos in the Loo'. Keep your eyes ...peeled for posts on each one of these groups or click the link in our bio to find out more. Please note! By registering for this group, you agree that, if you are not already a family at Kids That Go, you will need to book a 45min phone consultation ($135) for us to get to know your child's needs and hear about things that you have already tried. See our website for more.
22.01.2022 ! Regular days at home are the perfect time to put clear, effective plans in place to build your kids' emotional resilience. 'Taming Big Behaviours' is one of the 3 support groups we are beginning this Term. As a participant, you will receive access to an age and skill specific, closed Facebook Group that will run for 6 weeks. Two clinicians will provide you with evidence-based information, resources, and pr...oblem-solving to help you along the way. Additionally, you will be able to ask questions and share joys and sorrows with other parents as you tackle a common goal (without your child overhearing)! Specifically, 'Taming Big Behaviours' is for parents who need some back-up supporting kids in and beyond meltdowns, outbursts, tantrums, and big emotions. We will address emotional regulation, sensory strategies, and understanding how to get the brain to calm down and think before acting. This is the place to learn, share, debrief and ask questions of Bree (Occupational Therapist) and Anna (Nurse Counsellor)! See the link in our bio to find out more and request your registration link for 'Taming Big Behaviours'. Please note! By registering for this group, you agree that, if you are not already a family at Kids That Go, you will need to book a 45min phone consultation ($135) for us to get to know your child's needs and hear about things that you have already tried. See our website for more.

13.01.2022 #ThisIsOT #OTWeek2020 . HOW ARE WE REBUILDING AS A CLINIC?... We are back in clinic with a Covid plan, and have opened Telehealth services as a permanent option. This has allowed our services to reach far and wide across Australia. The development of more online video conferencing also means that opportunities for online professional developments, seminars, and support groups to continue to run during challenging times. Now is the time to build in the most important things first, so we are looking again at our services, and how to best to meet the needs of the families we serve. . . . . #kidsthatgotherapies #kidsthatgo #ktg #ktgot #paediatricoccupationaltherapy #paediatricot #pediatricot #paedot #occupationaltherapy #brisbaneoccupationaltherapy #brisbaneot #weesandpoos #toiletingspecialist #toilettraining #earlylearning #mumlife #toilettraininghelp #mummyblogger #autismmum #specialneedsmum #occupationaltherapy #selfcare #playbasedlearning #preschoollearning #preschool #kindergarten #toddleractivities #brisbanemums #mumsofbrisbane

06.01.2022 Meet Ros! You may remember Ros from when she worked with us almost 2 years ago! We are super excited to have her back on our team as a Therapy Assistant, working directly and indirectly with families. Ros dove straight into the role and is currently helping us get some important things in order. She is in the process of building resources whilst reviewing the evidence to guide our approaches and products to solve bed wetting! Her goal is to help families navigate a range of equipment and options that provide both information and strategies. Ros is currently working in the clinic on Tuesdays, and you will see her around the place at various groups.
