Hand painted frangipanni surf scene, transforming an otherwise dull sandpit corner into a slightly more appealing and engaging kids play nook. 23.01.2022 Some more Enchanted Forest progress and completion pics, after the clear coat toxic cloud dust has settled. Next we change it up into an Under the Sea - Pirate/Mermaid scene. For now it’s back to pencil commissions in total contrast. Variety is after all the SPICE of life!!

11.01.2022 The Harbourside Caterpillar is now complete and installed ready for play. One of the very most physically and emotionally tricky installations attempted and executed. Sincere thanks to all the guys at Gorilla and Playtec Pty Ltd for their immense efforts and determined approach during this entire project.

09.01.2022 Almost done with mural project. A few more days of extra features on Under Sea mural area and it’s back to my Caran d’Ache pencil commissions. Thank you to my customers with curent orders underway for being patient and understanding, while in the process of this large visual creation

08.01.2022 Kids Theme has been busy painting PVC upholstered Wobbly Soft shapes till all hours of the morning. Thank goodness for the durable water based Tautflex paint - Viponds Paints Kids Theme and Playtec Pty Ltd create many various soft shape themes for commercial play centres,using highest quality materials for the durability required for those energetic little humans.... 08.01.2022 Day 1 progress on 80sqm wall scene. Enchanted Forest underway. Under Ocean scene still to go. About 10 days to go!

05.01.2022 NEXT- It’s time for blocking in the base tone of the Under Sea - Mermaid/Pirate scene area. A few cheap short bristle broad brushes come in handy for the wet on wet process. A very physical process of constant brush rotation over the expanse,but a great way to establish the base tone to work focal point details toward the end result. Also a great way to stay art fit!

02.01.2022 Talk about priming your canvas! I painted my first professional mural at a very fit and enthusiastic 20yrs of age on a tiny 15sqm wall. Now at 48,I’m not quite as enthusiastic or fit as I was back then, but still manage to find the challenge of an 80sqm wall somehow captivating in anticipation of the art I’m going to create. Here come some VERY long and unusual hours ahead.

02.01.2022 Has anyone seen a Unicorn in here somewhere??? Not my favourite part of creating large mural art. Unfortunately a high quality polyurethane clear coat is a must for extra durability and washability. This means toxic overspray and hence the space suit and organic filters.... Be aware of your art materials and stay art healthy folks. See more

01.01.2022 Treasure Chest progress - Creating stacks of gold coin treasure with a medium density,long handled,flat broad brush. Great way to create rows of random coins fast. If only making coin was as easy as painting how much you needed. Have fun spending it!
