24.01.2022 Look at some of our amazing costumes! Today we celebrated Book Week with a special dress-up day. There were lots and lots of fantastic costumes and the children loved sharing their fancy dress and special story books.

24.01.2022 Last night our Educators completed their compulsory fire training. Here we have brave Sarah putting her training into practice.

22.01.2022 Just to advise that due to recent events in our community we will be returning to using the concierge service for the foreseeable future. Educators will collect the children from the front door, sanitise their hands and take them to their rooms or playground. Our priority will always be to keep the children safe and we thank you all for your patience and understanding.

21.01.2022 Another wonderful visit by our Pre Kindy children to see their friends at Opal Aged Care. The children sang some songs they had been busy rehearsing and were rewarded with lots of claps and cheers. Its so rewarding to see the genuine affection between the Pre Kindy children and their Opal friends. Theres lots of waves and calling out their friends names. ... The children returned to Kindy already chatting about their next visit.

19.01.2022 Our Pre Kindy children have been fascinated by space, planets and the stars. This would be a great experience to share with interested children.

19.01.2022 Today is First Responders Day which is the countrys way of thanking Australian medical and health workers, police, firefighters and SES workers for their hard work and dedication in keeping us safe. Today Addisons Mum and Dad donated one of their police shirts to the children in Addisons class. The Pre Kindy children had a discussion about what a First Responder is and they also we able to recall what the emergency number is- 000.... We are all grateful to the special job our First Responders do.

19.01.2022 You may have noticed a Christmas Tree in the foyer of each building. We have partnered with the ‘Children, Youth and Families South East Fostering Service’ to provide Christmas presents for children in care. 17.01.2022 Today was our very special Dress like a Pirate Day to acknowledge World Ocean Day. We had a huge number of Pirates show up in all their finery. Dont forget to check Storypark for more great photos.

17.01.2022 Dont forget that tomorrow is our Pyjama Day. Come dressed in your comfiest and warmest PJs. We are also collecting donations of Pyjamas to donate to the valuable Foster and Kinship Service that is situated next door.

16.01.2022 This morning our Pre Kindy children ventured out to visit their friends from Opal Aged Care. Due to current restrictions we held a footpath visit. The children sang their friends three songs AND much to their delight the residents also had a variety of songs to sing to the children. It was a rewarding experience for the children who understood why we couldnt visit inside the residents home, however sharing this time together was definitely an enriching experience.

16.01.2022 Continuing on with Science Week, today the children took the ingredients we have been using throughout the week for our science experiments and made their own experiments. They explored lots of different science concepts like density, cause and effect, dissolution and chemical reactions

15.01.2022 Spring has sprung. Our Pre Kindy children are passionate little gardeners and this morning spent some valuable time planting their new plants. There was extended conversation on what plants need- Soil to sit in and water to drink, was the agreed answer. ... Lavender was one of the most interesting plants they planted due to its interesting smell and soft leaves.

09.01.2022 Today our children in the Senior Centre had a fantastic time with our interactive Dinosaur Show. The children were able to pat the baby dinosaurs before heading outside to fossick for some dinosaur bones and other treasures.

04.01.2022 This morning our Pre Kindy children acknowledge Remembrance Day by painting their own Poppies. They learned that Poppies are used to remember members of the armed forces who were in the war.

03.01.2022 Today some of our Kindergarten listened to ANZAC Ted on the smart board and then they decided to make their own poppies. They used oil pastels and paint to create them.

03.01.2022 Shaving foam cloud experiment To kick off Kindy 2s science week, the children filled clear cups with water, before adding a layer of shaving cream. The children then used their pincer grip as they dropped food colouring onto the shaving foam layer. They experimented with the colours blue, red and yellow. They noticed after some time that the colours went through the layer of foam, dropping into the water and changing the colour of the water. As they experimented we explaine...d that when water droplets grow heavy in the clouds, gravity pulls them down from the clouds as rain, just like in the experiment. We are super excited for all the science fun planned this week!
