23.01.2022 Well worth a read, let's reconnect with our children.

21.01.2022 The Kidzflip Committee is SO keen to get activities started again, as I’m sure all the Kidz are ... HOWEVER We’re still awaiting the easing of covid19 restrictions and venues reopening . Let’s hope it won’t be long until we can start formal training again. ... Until then, enjoy the school holidays, even if most of it is spent in your home!! We’re all in this together ... kidz, committee members, and supporters. We’ll all pull together again as soon as we can.

21.01.2022 So this is from our New Zealand friends, but gave me a good laugh and is a good message for all teens in light of Covid 19 restrictions... the message is Stay at Home but don’t forget, if you are at risk in anyway, call 000 or get out to a safe place. #inittogether

20.01.2022 What do you do for ‘self care’?? Post a pic and add the hashtag... #BeKindToYourMind Like Tom below, light exercise like a good walk or jog is what clears my mind, especially when I’m feeling crappy or anxious... it somehow releases happy vibes and makes me feel refreshed. I prefer to walk with my dog and to play some music so I’m not thinking of anything else... What works for you?

20.01.2022 An opportunity for kids to talk about employment and barriers to employment to leaders in the employment sector...

19.01.2022 AKZONOBEL LUNCH TODAY When just a week and a half ago we committed to feeding 150 staff from Akzonobel, I was probably not alone in worrying a little about how it would turn out. Thanks to all who volunteered including committee, mums, kids and even Men’s Shed blokes, it was a smooth and successful operation and we even had Akzonobel staff members comment in the food line that we looked like we had done this before!... I want to thank everyone who helped out on the day including Frank Gorlitz who could not be there today but helped organise not only the food quantities but also the suppliers in Sunbury who did not let us down. I have spoken to Frank to let him know all went well and thanked him. The blokes from Men’s Shed got the better of the two 2019 carts there for us and this proved to be invaluable for Akzonobel staff to see where their company’s sponsorship and donations went and to understand a little more about what the BTC is all about. Daniel Andrew’s help in the kitchen was truly magic and he had everyone organised without stress. The mums who helped out (you all know who you are) must also be commended for we simply could not have done this without you. Everyone involved did their job cheerfully and this did not go unnoticed by Akzonobel or VicPol. I am very proud to be associated with KidzFlip and you all should be too as you have all done KidzFlip proud today. Well done and thank you! Christian Mudd

15.01.2022 The committee has met tonight and we are hoping to host a bbq get together very soon! We’re just awaiting further easing of restrictions to allow for numbers. Excitingly we have a fitness coach ready and willing to commence classes, so look forward to hearing who’s interested in getting back into it and setting times for those too. Thankyou for all your patience while we’ve been restricted by Covid-19. The gang is excited to be getting back together, as well as welcoming new kids and supporters as we move into 2021.

15.01.2022 How is everyone going with at-home exercise?? Self motivation can be really tough. Try to get into a routine, schedule some exercise and remember it doesn’t have to be long... Here’s some workouts I’ve found online you could try, don’t forget to warm up and warm down, and if you don’t know how to do an exercise, just reach out! Concentrate on form and if anything hurts, don’t continue (unless it’s your muscles burning!!).

15.01.2022 Happy 50th birthday celebrations to Christian Mudd, Kidzflip treasurer. Not only does he devote a great deal of time and effort to Kidzflip, he also used his birthday to invite donations for us, raising close to $2000!! A heartfelt thanks from all of us, we are super lucky to have him involved

14.01.2022 Hey Kidzflip Young Peeps... zoom catch up online in 10 minutes! See you there.....

13.01.2022 Hi everyone, it's a long time without a post from me, I hope you are all well and adjusting to the new way of life that we are all facing. Please if not for yourself but for others, social distance, practice good hand hygiene and wear a mask. You might not think it's important but it really is, it makes it safe for us all. Take care and I can't wait to catch up with you all again when we can. Be kind to all. Regards Azza

13.01.2022 Here’s a creative workout (stolen from a pony club page!). Your workout is created by spelling your name, or the name of a pet.... do the exercises that correspond to the letters of name in order!

08.01.2022 Covid-19; we’re all experiencing different emotions trying to cope with the restrictions, the lack of social contact, lack of school, lack of our usual routine, more time spent with families... 04.01.2022 So ... Schools back on the horizon.... there’s a light at the end of the tunnel perhaps? It can be hard to know how to feel about returning to school. I imagine there’s excitement to see friends, eagerness for school to go back to normal, fear of having to socialise again, anxiety about returning to the classroom, ongoing concerns about covid-19, feeling sick of Covid-19 and not caring anymore..... so many feels and possibly confusion but just remember there are no wrongs and... rights when it come to your emotions right now!! Just remember to reach out and chat to those you trust. It always helps. Keep talking until you find the support you need. Good luck, take care of yourself and look after each other.

04.01.2022 Newsflash You may or may not have heard that it’s the last day tomorrow for Jason Azzopardi at the Gisborne Police Station ... Thankfully for us it will not effect his involvement with Kidzflip. Jason’s new role with the Transit Police (based in Footscray) will see him continue his role with Kidzflip, with full support of his new boss. ... Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask or to contact Jason. He’s still available as always! We wish him all the best in his new role.

03.01.2022 Hello Everyone, Hundreds of people have been WALKING with MRSPAG to remember those loved and lost to suicide and as a beacon of hope to those who live with mental illness and suicidal thinking in Woodend every year in September since 2014. With heavy hearts we have to let you all know that due to the ongoing impacts of the current pandemic we are unable to gather on World Suicide Prevention Day (September 10) and WALK together this year.... Obviously everyone's main concern at present is to keep people physically safe from Covid-19 - at the same time we are very aware of the greater pressure that Covid-19 may place on the health and wellbeing of all of us. So this year, instead of our WALK, we invite you to join us on our social media (see link below) from September 10 #WorldSuicidePreventionDay to help us showcase - Self Care. Please feel free to share a pic with us that demonstrates what you do for Self Care - how you try to #BeKindToYourMind! Either by return email or inbox our Facebook Page www.facebook.com/MRSPAG between 10 - 16th September. We have 50 MRSPAG T-Shirts to give away to the first 50 people to email us with their home address so we can post it to you and every participant 18 years and over will receive a FREE voucher via email to complete the LivingWorks Australia online Suicide Prevention Training - START, you can find out more about this program here www.livingworks.com.au/programs/livingworks-start/ We know this isn't the same us our wonderful WALK in Woodend - but we hope you might embrace the opportunity to highlight ways that we can look after ourselves during this particular period of time, it's never been more important. We have attached a Flyer for this event - please feel free to share this opportunity with anyone you think might be interested. Go Well Everyone. Macedon Ranges Suicide Prevention Action Group

03.01.2022 Hi Kidzflip Kidz & Supporters The committee is eager to find ways to keep our little community connected during this interesting time in the world. We’re wondering about what kind of activities everyone can think of that we can do safely at this time. ... We have the opportunity to apply for a grant to assist, so let your imagination run wild!! Or just tell us little things that might help us stay connected. Eg; (but don’t be limited to my quick brainstorm...) Do you want to get together to do gym in small groups? Do you want online training opportunities? Do we need to run social chat rooms? Do you want to engage in outdoor or indoor activities? Do you want to build your own karts? Please comment below or use messenger to get in touch...

02.01.2022 Today Kidzflip assisted the Gisborne Golf Club in hosting a Christmas Luncheon. Big thanks to the Kidzflip crew (we hear that you’re top table decorators!) and volunteers with special mention to Daniel who took on the organising. A big Thankyou to the golf club for including us in your special event.

01.01.2022 Anyone else got pets keeping them sane and helping them through ISO???? The first pic is Coco shedding hair all over a Kidzflip hoodie... but keeping me delightfully warm and comforted at the same time. The dog is Trixie, who is enjoying family time more than anyone or any pet I think! It’s definitely time to appreciate the small things, snuggles with pets is right up there for me!
