25.01.2022 When you try this week's experiment, if you wait long enough the ice cubes melt then refreeze. If you try to lift them up too quickly, the water doesn’t have time to freeze over the string and it just comes away. But if you are patient enough, you’ll be surprised at how many ice blocks you can lift up on your piece of string. Being impatient can cause trouble! Of course, being patient with ice cubes doesn’t really matter, but there are lots of times when it’s important to be patient like with your family and friends. Being patient can be hard work, but it’s one of the ways people can tell that we love God. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians chapter 5, verses 22-23). www.kidzonemag.com.au

22.01.2022 Today is Valentine’s Day. A day where people celebrate the love in their life. That could be family or friends, or even the special furry friends we love. Not just on Valentine’s Day but any day or everyday! it’s always worthwhile to tell the people we love that we care about them. We can say I love you or write them a note. We can show our love by being a good helper. You can also let someone know they’re special by giving them a thoughtful gift. Do you have awesome egg hunts or get together for meals with your grandparents and aunts and uncles? Easter is a great time for families. But Easter is more than just about your family or my family. It’s about God’s family. For God loved the world so much that he gave his only son, so that anyone who believes in him sha...ll have everlasting life (John chapter 3 verse 16). We can belong to God’s family because of Easter. Because Jesus died on the cross on Good Friday for all our wrongdoings, and because he came back to life on Easter Sunday, everyone who has faith in him is welcomed into God’s family. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God (1 John chapter 3, verse 1). See more

09.01.2022 Oliver shows us how to makes funny, smiley faces in Kidzone this week! What fun to make huge, hilarious smiley mouths and hold them up against our faces. Biggest smiles ever! Sometimes, though, we put on a smile to cover up how we really feel, don’t we? There are days when we have the best smiles on our faces because we’re so happy and other days smiling is the last thing we feel like doing. One of the books in the Bible, Ecclesiastes, telIs us, There is a time to cry and a time to laugh, there is a time to be sad and a time to dance (chapter 3, verse 4). All of us have times when we feel great, and all of us have times when we don’t. If you’re feeling happy, that’s awesome! But if you feel sad a lot, think about talking to someone you trust.

You’ll find nobodies, somebodies, priests, governors, angels, thieves and criminals to name just a few. There’s drama, betrayal, regrets, tears and great joy, too. It’s quite a tale. But so much more than that it’s a real story from history, and the events of Easter changed the world! At the centre of it all is Jesus. His life and death and resurrection are the story of God’s love for the whole world!
