22.01.2022 Put your future home under the microscope. We recently carried out a Pre Purchase Plumbing Inspection for a local client who was in the process of purchasing a property here on the Coast. As part of our inspection, we investigated the sewer drainage system with our drainage camera and identified a pipe that had completely sheared off under the floor of the house. Sewerage had been filling the void for some time. ... We provided a written report with video and photo evidence of which the client used to negotiate $5,000.00 off the purchase price of the house mid contract. 14.01.2022 SOCK SUPPORT Today we pull up our pink socks alongside Tristan in an effort to turn worksites across the country pink to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. This June, Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is putting a pink call out for tradies to buy and wear a pair of BCNA Pink Lady socks to work to help support Australians affected by breast cancer.... The #BCNApinktradie campaign is inspired by 21-year-old apprentice plumber, Tristan McCulloch who lost his mum in February this year after a six-year battle with breast cancer. Tristan has been wearing his BCNA Pink Lady socks to work to honour his mum and the eight Australians that will die from breast cancer every day this year. He wants these pink socks to spark conversations about awareness, whilst showing visual support to others with the sales raising vital funds for BCNA. He wants to see how many tradies can get behind the campaign and help BCNA continue to be the trusted voice for these women, men and their families affected by breast cancer. It is predicted that over 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. Help Tristan make a difference and support BCNA! Get on board, head over to BLK Sport to purchase your pink merchandise. https://bit.ly/2Arauoz Video credit: Channel 7 Nightly News

04.01.2022 10 Tips on How to Prevent Mould in Showers and Bathrooms. 1. Increase Ventilation - Sounds simple, open a window during, and for a time after showering to help get all that steam out of the room. 2. Leave door/curtain open - Sounds obvious but we all like things to look tidy, closed doors look neat (and hide the moldy shower cubicle) but they lock in the moisture and keep the environment damp for longer. ... 3. Remove moisture directly - Take a towel and dry the walls! sounds radical but if you take away the physical water that is clinging to the wall right after you shower then the area will be much drier much sooner. Ok, maybe there is no need to do this every time you shower but if the last person to shower does then it will help considerably. For the full 10 tips send us a PM or email [email protected]
