Apartments that we moved around on the site till they got comfortable - each with north facing courtyards, main bedrooms with views of Manly and the harbour and north sun! 21.01.2022 2006 Lofty ceilings, a grand kitchen and broad stairs form an inspiring light-filled room for cooking, talking and eating. Deep, high windows top light the space while a long skylight illuminates the kitchen bench. Folding doors lead to a timber deck shaded by both yellow and red flowered frangipani trees, a lawn and a vegetable garden. Laundry, guest toilet and storage are discreetly located down a few steps.No appliances, fittings or handles are visible in the kitchen, with... the exception of the traditional tap-ware. From the living and entertaining level a screened stair ascends a full flight to the private bedroom floors. In the main bedroom, large timber doors open to a corner balcony which enjoys north eastern sun and views over the frangipani trees to the harbour. Simple environmental design and warm natural materials with muted colours create a relaxed, stimulating living space downstairs and a place of calm and repose upstairs.
