23.01.2022 LAVERTON HOSPITAL DAMAGE Patient services at a storm-damaged hospital in Laverton will continue unaffected. The Goldfields hospital had part of its roof torn ...off during a storm on Friday night, with wind gusts reaching up to 111 kph. WA Country Health Service's Regional Director Alicia Michalanney said no staff were injured during the storm and the hospital was not caring for any inpatients at the time. Anjuli Till from the State Emergency Service said the storm damaged parts of the roof and they've temporarily fixed it with a tarpaulin. "It removed the interior section of the roof of an older part of the hospital," she said "So, it completely peeled off one side and then partially peeled off the other side and it sent part of that roof flying into the nursing quarters." : Laverton.Noticeboard

07.01.2022 High insurance premiums are placing a massive burden on families living and businesses operating in the Pilbara. The cost of insurance of a home in the Pilbara ...compared with that of a similar property in Perth is as high as 10 to one. The Nationals WA have used state parliament to highlight this exorbitant disparity, and query where the State Government is at with regard to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s recommendations, particularly around rebasing stamp duty. Unfortunately, our current local member has not been able to convince the Premier to look at this matter or those recommendations.

To reassure you I have never received or accepte...d a dollar from Mr Palmer in fact I have campaigned against him like the premier. This is the behaviour I see by the Labor Party and the premier in parliament which the general public don’t see. We have real issues such as crime, Labour shortage, housing crisis that Labor are trying to deflect. True colours are coming through very disappointing. I have fought hard to keep Mr Palmer away from this state and last year I published and sent through the mail my open letter which is attached. I will keep fighting to do what is the best interest of my electorate and not play the grubby politics Labor has chosen to play. Please think about your vote and what it means to you and your community if we don’t have a regional voice.
