From dry whites, to unoaked reds, to award-winning reds and sweet wines and fortifieds... the world is your oyster! 2. For those who are new to wine, no worries! We are "striving to be the friendliest and best cellar door in the Barossa" and we love to welcome everyone with a smile. ... 3. Our cafe is fully booked on Saturday and Sunday, but feel free to bring the whole family, a picnic blanket and a hat. Grab a bottle of wine from our cellar door, a platter from our cafe and while away the afternoon on our lawns. 4. Diego is rostered on this weekend! (Enough said )) 5. Our wine tasting experience is free and we work on a first come, first served basis for groups under 8 people! So I guess the question is, why not visit? The cottage was once used as a Chaff Mill until it was renovated by Ken Kies, the founder of Kies Family Wines in 1985.
