02.01.2022 Little old me made an appearance on Talk-ist with Jacci Pillar earlier this week. Ranting on all things Disability and Rainbow, letting off steam on how lived experience is severely undervalued in the intersectional space (with or without qualifications). To finish, indulging in a tv and music obsession. Yes...I'm still a proud Bardot and Popstars fan ... *Links to other segments in comments

01.01.2022 Happy #tdov2021! Today, is the day where all Trans/Gender Diverse beautiful humans can celebrate who they are proudly and loudly! Especially after the, excuse language, shit show of last year! Yes, we have come a long way, alas there is still a long way to go! ... I can't speak for all intersections, but as one of many living with a disability, time to raise our voices for positive change. Not only that, but to change current attitudes and barriers to the very essential, in most cases live saving treatments and interventions to help us. Many are still unable to get the interventions needed due to discrimination, finances among a myriad of other reasons. To add, most folks with disability are on the daily subject to lack of appropriate housing, poverty, unemployment or insufficient work opportunities (including dismal pay rates), discrimination on a number of levels. Social isolation being another key issue, particularly during the pandemic. For queer and trans folks, double all of this. Lack of inclusion has often led to poor outcomes for this intersection. This extends to healthcare, education, finances, physical access and so forth. Accessibility is not only paramount for queer/trans people with a disability, yet a multi faceted issue. Especially in this strange new world. To all of my trans/gender diverse siblings and allies....big love :trans: He/him :trans:

01.01.2022 One thing is definitely becoming positive for 2021 thus far. With the shitshow of last year, my pain and mental health along with it to a large degree became unbearable, at points to very dangerous levels. Not to mention, bluntly, I looked horrendously dishevelled and exhausted. My diet was terrible (still not perfect) and felt relieved when the day was over. Trying to manage the perks of life with health issues, disability etc along with the 2020 Armageddon was tiring.... But this year, with regaining routine with training and the like, being able to distinguish the good pain from the bad, along with feeling I'm achieving something again has been a relief to say the least. And hey, I know I'm only a few weeks in (including the f45 sessions) but I can notice subtle differences already. On that note...bring on the coming week, and hoping the year is full of busy-ness with a touch of much needed rest. Looking forward to the 2021 journey
