I will be continuing to set up the shop and will be applying for any other shops in Gisborne that become available; one in particular is on the main road. As many know Gisborne is the home of art and craft and attracts many fans of our creations. The hours of the shop will be 10am - 5pm Thursday to Monday. These days ensure that the shop is open when Gisborne is at it's busiest and also when the famous Gisborne Market is on, thus giving you prime exposure at all times. In my many years of retail, I always noticed that the quietest days for retail is always Tuesday and Wednesday, no matter where you trade. So to ensure you get the most return, I will only open on these days if the demand is there. Anyway, all this can only go ahead if I have products to sell, so please get your applications in as soon as possible to secure your space.

16.01.2022 Here’s a little about who I am: Coming from a creative family I have always regarded art as a way of expressing my emotions, feelings, opinions and experience. Being creative, to me, is a great release of stress, worries and energies that lie within me. While I create images primarily for myself, I derive a great deal of pleasure from sharing them with others. Along with a heritage of creative relatives, I also studied Visual Arts New Media at Swinburne University and con...tinued to create my artworks for many years after. I am mainly self-taught and have indulged in the knowledge and expertise of others along the way. I have always been interested in art and being creative and yes, I was the kid that won colouring competitions, the one that would do the creative aspects of school projects and decorate the office for Christmas. If something creative needed to be done, I was the one people turned to. I believe art to be about getting messages across to an audience. Letting the viewers have a small insight to your values and thoughts. It’s about exposing what makes you tick, makes you feel, makes you think. I create illustrations. You might create jewellery, home decor items, candles, or anything else. I’m passionate about creativity and love indulging the community in locally handmade products.

05.01.2022 Something a little different. Kik Boutique is absolutely going ahead one way or another. Now I am getting PLENTY of Creators. I’m in the process of getting confirmation about the premises but now I also just need a little help in getting some funds together for the bond. ... I am setting up this store, not for my personal gain, but to legitimately help small businesses grow. I don’t like taking money so I am using this as an opportunity to get donations on a loan type agreement; meaning; anyone who can donate some funds towards the bond will receive what they pay, back once the store is up and running. I also have an opportunity for anyone interested in being a business partner at Kik Boutique. I will be doing majority if not all the work however for personal reasons will require this to ensure the shop does actually get approved. 04.01.2022 Location is such an important thing for any business so my hunt for the right shop in the right location is very exciting. We didn’t get the one I wanted in Gisborne, but that’s ok. I’m on the hunt and will keep you updated.

02.01.2022 KIK Boutique is on it's way! Opening it's doors in Gisborne, Victoria in early 2019, this unique retail space is sure to be one of the popular of it's sort.
