09.01.2022 Like many businesses, big and small, 2020 wasn’t the year we were expecting. Here at Kiki & Poppi, we were aiming high at the start of the year. We knew it would be a challenge with Kiki expecting her 3rd child but we also knew with 6 kids between us, we would continue to do what we love whilst raising our families.... Then, Covid reared its ugly head. With 5 months of a very quiet inbox and understandably couples too scared to move forward with their plans, we’re proud to say that’s things picked up towards the end of the year and whilst there is still so much uncertainty, 2021 is looking brighter. This month, Kiki and Poppi turn 10! Yes - we’ve hit double digits! And we estimate around 200,000 pieces of stationery have been printed! From humble and basic designs in 2010, we now know there is no limit to design. We’re excited to see what the next decade will bring... ‘Til then, Merry Christmas from our families to yours. 04.01.2022 Foiling has been popular for almost a decade but the cost can surprise people. What are you really paying for? Other than time, expertise, design, card etc... The custom made foil plate is expensive and a large plate alone is around $200. So if you’re printing 50 invitations - that’s $4 per invite just the plate, and that doesn’t include the printing costs. If this is more than your budget, remember there are other print methods and ways to still give a luxe feel... consider duplex (super thick card), digital foiling or letterpress. Feel free to DM for more info!
