06.01.2022 *EDIT* After recieving some negative feedback I wanted to say that this post is not directed at any one person. It's a plea, asking families to stick by us on Zoom IF YOU CAN. Dance teachers are sad & vulnerable right now & while the words might not come out right we appreciate all of the support coming our way Every little dancer was loving being back in class Back to their beloved studio, with their uniform and shoes, ready to see their friends and teachers, and r...eady to dance. Then we got the news We are back in stage 3 lockdown Every studio owners heart sank......for we know the disappointment our dancers would now be facing, and we are now scared for our businesses and futures....for the second time in 6 months. Studio owners are tired, anxious and are watching their enrolments drop before their eyes. The my child doesn’t like zoom but will come back when the studio opens emails The zoom isn’t as good as in the studio so we aren’t doing it emails The we want discounts for classes being on zoom emails The "its all just too hard" emails The "we'll just come back next year" emails Dance is your child’s safe space. Dance has played a part in developing your child’s self confidence and self worth. Dance is where they can express themselves. Dance is what makes your child happy. Dance has taught your children much more than steps. It had taught them independence, confidence and goal setting. They have made many lifelong friends and they love their teachers. Saying we will just come back when you open up might seem ok now, but unfortunately the reality is that many will not open up. Without your financial support, there will be NO STUDIO for your child to return to. We don't do this job for the money, but without income its pretty hard to do. Please support the studios that have supported your children. Even if you don’t like online classes, consider giving them a try. It's only for 6 weeks! Dance is the best gift we can give your children. Don’t let the flame burn out for these incredible businesses.
