22.01.2022 At Kilburnie we are trying to breed Angus cattle with calving ease and growth, meat yield and marbling plus leanness and fertility. P4 lot 28 is a very special bull demonstrating the rare combination of meat quality and yield that we are striving for. below breed average birth weight, high growth and low mature weight RBY% and IMF% EBVs in the top 20% of the breed.
21.01.2022 We had a good day for Beefweek, Thank you to all those people who came to visit us. The bulls were in very good order and very quiet - thank you Andy and the scones were excellent - thank you Jo. We also had 3.5 mm of drizzle - thank you. Sale Day is August 23- see you then. (Thank you Jo) PS The bull having his head scratched is N20 by Lotto.
19.01.2022 Lot 60, NURP120. Look at the numbers. IMF% EBV is 3.8. This is the sort of bull that will put marbling into your herd. Also lot 48, NURP60 - IMF 3.7, birth weight 4.0 and very high indices. See website www.kilburnieangus.com.au for more information.

16.01.2022 We have done a final check of the animals on the sale. Weights, and scrotal circumferences for the bulls, were taken. We also withdrew four bulls from the sale. On July 1 the majority of the animals were structurally scored. EBVs and percentile values were calculated from this information. This information is now available on our website, www.kilburniangus.com.au.... Sale is on Friday 21 on AuctionsPlus. The animals will be yarded and available for inspection on Monday August 17 and Thursday August 20 from 10.30 in the morning.
16.01.2022 PDF Catalogue for sale of cows on March 27 is now on our website - www.kilburnieangus.com.au . 35 years of breeding for performance goes under the hammer. A chance not to be missed.
15.01.2022 Change is coming to your business. Measuring yield and marbling lead to automatic boning. And every one of those carcases had an NLIS tag to let the processors know how well your cattle were marbling and yielding. Thank you to Beef Central for keeping us informed about our future.

11.01.2022 Beef Week and Sale Day are coming. IMF%, marbling, is what is driving premiums. The bull below is a high marbling, high yielding, low birth weight, carcase proven bull that we bred. Come and have a look at our animals. There could be cheap bulls everywhere this year but only some of them will lock marbling into your herd.
10.01.2022 Some of the highest performing Q series animals in the breed are up for sale. You do not get many chances to get to the top of the pile as quickly as this.... Full catalogue on the Angus Web site, also PDF and excel listings on www.kilburnieangus.com.au
06.01.2022 It is unusual for animals to have high growth and low birthweight. It is also unusual for animals to have high IMF% and high retail beef yield. These traits are antagonistic. P166 lot 17 has exceptional growth with RBY% and IMF% both in the top 5% of the breed.

Please book an inspection time with Andy Burwell and arrange to bid on AuctionsPlus either on your own phone or with your agent's help.
