25.01.2022 Kilburn is running NETSETGO this year! Experienced and talented coach Melissa Loring will take juniors through the basics of playing netball and get them ready to starting playing! We will be running it for 7-8 year olds (SET - starting at 5pm) and 9-10 year olds (GO - starting at 5.45). 23.01.2022 A reminder to all members that it is uniform collection and fee payment night this Wednesday. Andrea will be in the Function room at STNA to take payments (cash and cheque only) and hand out uniforms between 4:30pm and 7pm. Uniforms must be paid for in full before collection.

03.01.2022 Kilburn will be having a Special General Meeting at 6pm on 20 January at the Hobart Sports and Netball centre. All are welcome to attend. The meeting is being held to propose two small amendments to the constitution, as follows: Change 1: [existing] 4.1 The Management Committee shall consist of:... 1. President 2. Vice-President 3. Secretary 4. Treasurer 5. Up to eight (8) other members [revised] 4.1 The Management Committee shall consist of: 1. President 2. Vice-President 3. Secretary 4. Treasurer 5. Up to ten (10) other members Change 2: [existing] 5. ELECTION OF OFFICERS 5.1 Nominations of candidates for election as Officers of the Club. (1) shall be made in writing signed by two financial members of the Club accompanied by the written consent of the candidate or the oral consent of the candidate if present to such nomination who must also be a financial member. (2) nominations shall be handed to the Secretary no later than the start of the Annual General Meeting. 5.2 If the nominations received are equal to the number of vacancies to be filled, a secret ballot shall be held the results of which shall be determined as at Common Law (Privacy). In the event of there being insufficient nominations to fill all vacancies the chairperson may, at his/her discretion, accept nominations from the floor of the Annual General Meeting, or the vacant positions shall be filled at the first meeting of the Management Committee after the Annual General Meeting. 5.3 The secret ballot for election of Officers shall be conducted at the Annual General Meeting in such usual and proper manner as the chairperson may direct and scrutineers may be appointed at his/her discretion. [revised - introducing a new clause 5.3 and therefore moving existing 5.3 to 5.4] 5.3 In the event that there is no clear and preferred nomination of one person for a role on the Management Committee, it may be shared between with collective responsibility by two (2) members of the Management Committee upon endorsement by the majority of attendees at the Annual General Meeting (or at the subsequent Management Committee meeting) and agreement by the two (2) parties. In the event of a shared role, it may be deemed by the majority that any supporting/related role is not required for the duration that the role is shared.
