23.01.2022 The Kilcoy Show continues each year because of the efforts of the volunteers who give their time to stage the various sections and events. The Society is always seeking additional people to assist in various ways and there are always openings for Stewards in various sections. If you have an interest in photography or maybe in scrapbooking we are currently looking for people to assist in this Section. Contact Tayna Garland 0427 670 827 - if you would like to help out and make the Photography and Scrapbooking Section the shining light of the 2021 Show

19.01.2022 To all our friends and supporters we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We'll see you all at the Kilcoy Show on 7th and 8th May 2021.

15.01.2022 The rebirth of the Woody Kunde Pavilion at the Kilcoy Showgrounds is indeed a cause for celebration. HOWEVER, THE NEW BUILDING DIDN’T HAPPEN AS A RESULT OF THE EFFORTS OF ANY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL IT HAS BEEN AS A RESULT OF A PROLONGED TEAM EFFORT. The quest began about three years ago, a grant through the Gambling Community Benefits Fund was sourced. The old building needed to be demolished and Somerset Regional Council supported the Society with funding for this. Then we need...ed plans and specifications and again were supported by the Council for the preparation of these documents. Eventually we were able to invite quotations and appoint a builder, we obtained a permit in January this year after again receiving Council assistance to provide a stable building platform. The building is now essentially finished but some ancillary services are still to be finalised. So, over the life of three Management Committees the project has been realised and the Official Opening will take place during the 2021 Show. It is one thing to have a bright new building, but the poultry cages in the building were in very poor condition and a lot, and I mean a lot, of refurbishment has been required. This task has been attacked by a very dedicated team of volunteers, some have done a lot and some have done what they can, but the end result stems from a TEAM EFFORT by all who contributed. These volunteers will be acknowledged at the Official Opening ceremony. The cost of refurbishing old poultry cages, building several new sets of cages and providing stands and trolleys for these cages has not been insubstantial and a number of local folks have been gracious in financially supporting the Society with the cost of this work. The generosity of these people will also be recognised at the Official Opening Ceremony. THE OVERALL RESULT IS GREAT THANK YOU, TEAM! THANK YOU, SOMERSET REGIONAL COUNCIL! THANK YOU, QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT!

01.01.2022 It is a huge task being a Mud Pie Judge.. especially when each and every mudpie deserves to win. Since 2007 the children of Kilcoy and its surrounding areas ha...ve presented the most imaginative mud pies ever to the judges of the Mud Pie section of the Kilcoy Show. With so many different categories ( plus extras on the day) it can be a very difficult and challenging task. What does a Mud Pie judge take into consideration when judging... * imagination * childs age of entry * type of natural ingredients used * type of dirt * well set/ well baked * creativeness . Even after all these years it never ceases to amaze me and the judges the pies that the children present. Well done to the several hundred children who have participated in the Mud Pie section of the Kilcoy Show since 2007 and thank you to the Judges. Rodney Kunde ( who is a Baker by trade) has assisted with judging. Susan Stubbs from Sunshine Coast ( formally of Kilcoy) has enjoyed being a part of the judging. Sue as well all know is a great cook and has expertise in this field. Wendy & Dennis Baker for years travelled from the Gold Coast to judge.. now living at Toowoomba they are once again looking forward to being a part of the Mud Pie Judging on May 7th 2021. Happy Baking children. Remember the Judging is being done on Friday 7th . All entries must be at the showgrounds prior to 10 am on 7th May. 2021
