19.01.2022 Tonight at 5:40pm, some CFA brigades across the state will be sounding their fire alarm for four cycles in memory of the four fallen Victoria Police Officers wh...o tragically lost their lives last week. We do ask that you please help us make your friends and family aware of this event and not to be alarmed when you hear the siren.

08.01.2022 Council and Phillip Island Nature Parks have made the decision to close all Bass Coast beaches to the public over the Easter break. This follows strong advice ...from Bass Coast Health that with additional people in the community over Easter, the local health network would be unable to respond to the impacts of a COVID-19 outbreak in our community. The closure will impact every beach in the Shire from 11.59pm Thursday, 9 April until 11.59pm Monday, 13 April. During these times, there will be no access for anyone, to any beach, under any circumstance. This includes exercising on the beach running, surfing, walking and swimming. See more

06.01.2022 Kilcunda and all Bass Coast beaches are CLOSED but Council still says: People will still be able to access the beaches for a surf, run or walking a dog, however the closure is to minimise the locations being used as a gathering place during the COVID-19 crisis. Swimming is allowed at this stage, as long as social distancing and mass gathering rules are obeyed, Ms Wastie said.
05.01.2022 Original Spirit Co. will have their unique spirits for you on Sunday at the Lobster Festival. Grab a gin and a lobster to take home! What a combination
05.01.2022 In case you were wondering - KILCUNDA is NOT East Gippsland and we are nowhere near the current fires. So, please don't let the current fires deter you from heading to the Lobster Festival this coming Sunday. We feel very deeply for our fellow Gippslanders at this terrible time but we just want to make sure our Festival visitors know our area is a long way away from East Gippsland.
04.01.2022 A sincere THANK YOU to everyone who attended the 2020 Lobster Festival as we think it was a great success. Also you should be congratulated in helping us reduce the amount of waste that went to landfill by 50% This is a great result and big thanks to our amazing Waste Warriors who were so committed all day. We will be back in 2021 and perhaps do even more to reduce our waste!! We would welcome any photos of the Festival that you would like to share as we are so busy we sadly don't get to take many. See you in 2021
