This morning we have made the difficult decision to close our doors to guests wanting to visit our beautiful holiday home and wonderful town. We plan to come back stronger then ever once things get back to normal. We are a small town with limited health resources, and during this pandemic anyone who is travelling for leisure should st...rongly condider staying at home, particularly for the next 30 days, and possibly longer. Already got a booking with us for later this year? Don't stress! We will be monitoring the situation and be in touch with you as it unfolds. We are committed to offering 100% refunds to anyone who has to cancel due to the Pandemic. Want something to look forward to once this blows over? We are currently leaving bookings open for dates following 1st July, and will keep everyone updated should the situation change. 04.01.2022 A story of sustainability... Since we took the reins at Kilifi, we've been on a mission to reduce our carbon footprint and become a sustainable accommodation provider, while increasing the comfort levels of our guests. We are draught proofing and insulating the house, we've installed LED lighting and even swapped out our electric storage hot water system for a way more efficient heat pump. Just this week, we have installed and commissioned our solar and battery system to gene...rate and supply Kilifi with renewable energy! So far the system is meeting demand and even exporting renewable energy to the grid, contributing to reducing the demand for coal fired power in our local area. Our goal is to become carbon neutral in our energy consumption across the entire year! Our guests can now charge their electric vehicle on site for free, adding approximately 32km of range per hour of charge. No electric car? You can still rest assured that our solar and battery system supplying power to the house provides an environmentally friendly option for your next trip to the region.
