A day dedicated to our incredible educators that acknowledges and recognises all their tireless efforts and hard work. As a way to commemorate this day, Katie spoiled everyone with a surprise cake! 11.01.2022 MEET OUR NEW EDUCATORS: Zac has joined us from Turramurra OOSH where he has worked for 2 years as an educator. Keep an eye out for him on the field but also in the midst of a slime frenzy! Don't mistake him for Mike! Q: What is your favourite thing about not only working at KK, but with children that made you want to continue working in childcare? A: My favourite part about working with children is spending time with them, especially being able to have fun during this proces...s and helping make their school and KK experience more enjoyable. Q: When you’re not at work, having a great time, what do you enjoy doing? A: When I’m not at work I enjoy playing video games with friends and playing sports like basketball and touch footy. Q:I know a lot of children who attend KK enjoy playing video games and sports such as basketball, do you think enjoying and playing these types of games helps you in the OOSH sector and why? A: I think enjoying and playing these games allows me to relate to the kids in a unique and different way. I also think that children talking about things such as video games with people older than them may make OOSH a more enjoyable and fun filled experience. Q: Are you studying at the moment or working on anything towards a future goal? A: I am currently studying at Macquarie university doing a Bachelor of arts majoring in international business. Q: How interesting! Do you think there are any skills you’ve learnt in childcare that you have been able to apply to your degree and life? A: I have learnt to treat everyone with respect and how mature some young kids can be, they like to be taken seriously and treated like everyone else.
